Why is Years and Years just going under the radar?? Like no one on tumblr is paying attention to it at all??
If you want a show that has TWO gay relationships that are Normalised, a trans girl who is fully accepted in her family, an actor with a wheelchair as representation, and a biracial, bicultural family you HAVE to watch Years and Years. AND it deals with how democracy is going to change as technology advances in a completely realistic (and terrifying) way. PLEASE PLEASE WATCH YEARS AND YEARS!!!!
Stephen deserves no rights
@linaharutaka suggested I keep posting my thoughts on years and years so here I am with a full on rant on how much I despise Stephen Lyons.
Seeing the end of episode 4, I thought everyone coming to the door would be them coming together over Daniel's death. I thought everyone was going to mourn him as a family and his legacy would be like the glue that keeps them together. I was so very very wrong.
I'm still trying to work out how any of them could blame Viktor for what happened. And then preventing him from being there when they're scattering the ashes? But Stephen.
First of all, the concept of the camps is terrifying. But the worst part is that it feels like it could actually happen. From an out-of-story perspective, I'm genuinely scared that this is the way things are going.
From an in-story perspective, all I feel is burning hatred for Stephen. Man had an affair and let down his entire family and his way of repaying his dead brother is to send his boyfriend (whom which he had literally dedicated his life to) to what is essentially a concentration camp. I have never felt such burning hatred for a character before. I just wish Bethany had punched him the moment he gave her that smile.
me when stephen cried while spreading danny's ashes
You find out about concentration camps and then actively subject someone to them. Stephen can go choke. How can he be this emotionally stunted???
Fuck him up, Bethany.
