Just got home from watching Multiverse of Madness and my mind is swimming with a lot of questions about America Chavez, dreams in general, and in particular lucid dreaming.
I mentioned to one of my canonmates on the drive back home (someone else was driving, don't worry, I'm not making the same mistake a third time when it comes to looking at my phone and driving lmao), who happens to be Wanda, the possibility that maybe America Chavez never found any other versions of herself not because they didn't exist, but possibly because they hid themselves well enough to not be discovered, to the point of leaving her unable to dream.
The reason for this is the fact that if the multiverse is truly infinite, then certain things must repeat. In the case of America Chavez, it's possible that maybe her existence doesn't repeat as often as other individuals and their dimensional counterparts do, but she still repeats nonetheless. Infinite realities equals infinite possibilities, which means an infinite number of possible outcomes.
Secondly, and this is also something I shared with Wanda, I have two theories regarding more nonsensical dreams that aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, nor are they the only possibilities: my first theory is that more nonsensical dreams involve the viewing of multiple universes simultaneously. You're seeing more than one thing happening at the same time in your field of vision.
My second theory is that our brains are influencing what we see. It's been scientifically proven that our brains can't tell apart reality from the imagined (think things like schizophrenia, or people on hallucinogenics), so it's possible that our brains are messing with what we see when we dream, thereby making it more difficult to damn near impossible to discern what actually happened and what was just a random thing your brain decided to drop in.
I also wonder, and this I haven't mentioned to Wanda yet because I thought of it after I messaged her (I'll discuss it with her later when she replies) if lucid dreaming could be a form of dreamwalking?? But without the need of the Darkhold. Idk, I haven't had time to fully process everything, and it doesn't help that my timelines are so wildly divergent from the MCU timeline that I literally don't know certain things for sure because I didn't experience them myself.
Aaaanyway, I think I'm done rambling for now. Hope you all enjoyed my impromptu info dump.
