    When Steph asked Lohri about her coming to Gallagher and not telling her at the party, she froze. She always could think of good excuses, not lies, but good half truths considering that it was no secret she was terrible at hiding her feelings and thoughts. Fortunately they were interrupted and she didn’t have to answer it at that time. It didn’t mean that now that they had met again, she had the right answer, or maybe she did. “Hey, Steph. Did you enjoy the party?” She grinned and then remembered the announcement earlier. “And this sword thing, you know, crazy thing.”

     her  friend  approaches  ,  and  ginny  just  has  to  grab  her  hands  ,  staring  directly  into  brown  eyes  .  “  steph  ,  you  seriously  look  gorgeous  .  ”  she’ll  consequently  giggle  ,  letting  go  before  turning  back  to  a  table  where  two  shot  glasses  are  already  laid  out  .  she’ll  pick  their  poison  --  tequila  ,  this  time  ,  with  a  corresponding  lime  &  salt  shaker  .  “  will  you  take  this  shot  with  me  ,  pretty  please  ?  i’m  not  brave  enough  to  do  it  alone  ,  ”  perhaps  it’s  an  excuse  ,  perhaps  there’s  some  truth  to  it  .  after  all  ,  ginny  had  her  fair  share  of  bad  nights  thanks  to  tequila  --  but  who  didn’t  ?

Daphne spotted one of the Georgetown students in the common room on the fifth floor, where she’d been planning to meet a friend. “You were friends with Cassie, right?” she asked. Then she shook her head at her own question. “Sorry, I didn’t meant for that to come out the way it sounded. I’m not here to pump you for details about her life.” She’d been asking because she felt sorry for the students who had known the dead girl. “I just wanted to ask how you are holding up?”
