Hi. Do you use references when drawing or just from memory?

Hello :) Both, actually. Sometimes I just doodle with no regard for likenesses or references like

But I actually get a lot out of anatomy and portrait work, so when I’m really drawing something, I definitely use references. I usually study pictures of the person I’m drawing, the way they hold themselves, the slope of their nose or the personality of their mouth, and refer back to those images while I’m working, and sometimes it works but other times it’s so close and yet so far like

1.  What’s the last picture you took with your phone? (or in the case of phoneless people, the last picture you took ever)

2. What’s the last lie you told?

I told someone that I was fine even though I wasn't feeling very fine at all (and in fact had reached out to them for that reason, but they were busy and therefore I lied)

3. Have you ever tried broccoli with ketchup?

No, is it good? I can only stand broccoli when it's drowned in cheese and even then it's not always good. But I do love ketchup. Huh. 

4. When’s the last time you had an existential crisis?

Pretty recently, I suppose. It usually comes up whenever my friends start talking about their study abroad plans (my major has plenty of study abroad opportunities, but none that apply to my particular field) and I get really swallowed up in fears of being the only one stuck in one place in a dead end job while my friends are all travelling the world/following their dreams/doing whatever they want. Idk it's just that I always feel like I'm the only one without BIG PLANS and even though that's perfectly fine I'm also like aaaaaahhhhhh

5. Ever tried to avoid a past teacher?

Yes. While I've had a great number of teachers who saved me (either through kicking my ass into shape or caring enough about me to help me through my struggles) there have been a couple of teachers where, if I were able to choose, I would never see their faces again. 

6. Socks or no socks?

Socks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love socks. I'm wearing flying piggy socks right now. If you're wearing sandals or flip flops though don't do the socks bruh. Just don't. 

7. Who are you thinking of right now?

Tbh I'm thinking about Scarlett Johansson. I had this dream in which a lot of weird things happened but she was there for some of thing and was very insightful on a couple of our problems. Thanks girl. 

8. How many blankets do you sleep with?

2-3, depending on the weather outside. I always sleep with a big ass comforter, no matter what time of year it is, but when it's winter I pull out the sheets and the blankets from Mexico in order to stay toasty. 

9. If stuck in a desert and offered Dentyne ice gum or a key, which would you take?

The key probably, bc it might lead to something to get me out. Like a rock that has a keyhole when you roll it over or something, and there's like a tunnel underground that leads you straight out of the desert. Gum wouldn't help in that scenario. 

10. Is there something you should be doing instead right now?

Not quite yet, it is only 10 a.m. and I don't have classes today, and all of my online work will be done whenever we get together to do classwork today. 

11. If you could only do one thing really well, what would you do?

I should say somethin along the lines of "Some kind of art, I think. Like an artist, or a musician, or a singer, or a dancer. Something that would bring a lot of people joy and that I could do well into my years. Maybe even a sport, bc being an Olympic athlete wouldn't be so bad either," but honestly, I'd like to breathe. Not having asthma or allergies that affect my breathing would make my life like 12000 times easier, and if I'd never have to deal with it ever again I'd be a much happier person.

I KNOOOW. I mean angst is nice, I know, but Derek and the pack BOTH, do not tell Stiles anything he needs to know, thus, arguments and big fights ensue, fangs sparkle and claws pop out. It got srsly annoying. I mean I liked the premise, but then ugh.

1. Favorite Season (Weather)?

Autumn! I love the trees, and cider mills, and the chilly weather :)

2. Funniest/Awkward moment you are willing to share?

My goodness I suck at remembering these when I need to! I'm pretty awk in general...haha XP I dunno! Last year I was cold and decided to walk the rest of the way to dinner like this- (i'll late add a fun awkward picture of myself in a selfmade sweatshirt straightjacket when my computer will cooperate) 

3. Right or Left handed?

Right!

4. Contacts or Glasses?

Umm...I have purple contacts for fun! haha :) and reading glasses

5. Prefer to be out admiring nature or locked up indoors, wrapped in blankets, scrolling all day long?

ummm...ummm...WHAT'S THE WEATHER? If it's too hot or too cold I like to be inside, but if it's spring or fall and nice weather then I like to read outside :)

6. Salt or Pepper?

i have fears that revolve a lot around trusting people, but i have a totally irrational fear of sharks. like, so bad that i fear sharks when swimming in lake michigan...

elizabeth bennett from pride and prejudice, because we are both dreamers and opinionated and super stubborn, and not likely to see something until it's right in front of our face when it comes to our own personal lives but are INCREDIBLY observant about other people!

Doing things for myself, and defining myself as a person. Trying to be truly happy in everything i do :)

I have a lot of memories about playing with my sisters when we were younger, i especially like remembering old swim meets and such where we would have so much fun! One memory i love is when i was 5 and alex was 4 and my mama brought mykala home from the hospital and i got to hold my new baby sister!
