thank you and i had way too much fun with this :D. give the girl a snake! also, i like to think that eda carved owlbert so then luz carves her own palisman and well,,,, they turn out a little more creature like due to some left over jagged edges. so luz’s palisman is a little snake with a horn and some fangs. for her staff, she also decided to put a light glyph as it was her first spell and keeps it for emergencies. (what should their name be :0c)

My favorite thing about him

It’s silly and probably a cost-saving measure, but I love that King speaks without moving his jaw. The little guy just projects sounds at his enemies. I love it. He’s great.

I love the little guy, but his voice can be a bit grating at times.

It’s gotta be Luz.

Few people treat King with even a semblance of respect, including Eda occasionally, but Luz has treated King like a person from the beginning. They’re not perfect: Luz ignored King at the carnival even though she came to hang out with him, and King put aside Luz’s feelings to gain temporary fame for a book they wrote together. But critically, they each acknowledge when they’ve messed up and have used those moments to grow closer together. They make a great pair.

So after reading the tags in the last ask you answered, I now really want to learn more about Grammy Clawthorne. She sounds awesome.

@sterling-jay and I went back and forth all day yesterday speculating about the timeline of the boiling isles universe and how extremely plausible it is for Eda’s grandparents to still be alive. They’d be old as dirt but like, still kickin. We bounced ideas around about Grammy Clawthorne being one of those Ancient Wild Witches that hates Belos like we hate Tr*mp and encourages Eda to overthrow him when Eda’s still like. 15. Eda keeps saying she’ll get around to it and never does lmao oops.

But like Grammy Clawthorne is one of those grandmas you do not want to fuck with. Like, maybe 70 years ago she put a Blight in their place and warned them to never mess with a Clawthorne again. And as soon as she catches wind of Eda having a student that the newest Blight children have taken an interest in, she is there to make sure they’re not messing with her adoptive great granddaughter. And then she sees Amity being head over heels for Luz and Luz actually defends Amity and calls her one of her best friends and Grammy just glares at them for a while before turning to Eda and nodding her approval.

1. My friends. I’ve always been somewhat of a loner so finding people that are both friends and honestly family is a beautiful thing. They made me so happy and I’m grateful for them every single day.

2. Writing. I haven’t been doing it very long but it gave me a voice. It gave me a way to express myself that I didn’t have before because I am painfully introverted and talking to people is an exercise in awkard haha

3. My animals. I have a lot of them, spread out over 3 different houses but I love them all and they bring me such joy. There is literally nothing better than getting home and being greeted by a dancing pupper who acts like it’s been years since we saw each other.

4. Music. I wouldn’t be able to live without music. I listen to it all day and all night. I write with music on, I play music at work, my car will not go unless music is playing (I’m also kind of dramatic sometimes). Music has always helped me connect to emotions and feelings I struggle to understand within myself as well. And it can change my mood instantly. Plus dancing.

5. The ocean. I grew up in Northern California and lived there until a few years back. I started and ended most days on the beach that was pretty much my backyard. It is the place I feel the most peaceful and connected to the world around me.

Depending on your state, the signs themselves might be illegal? Some places don’t allow signs encouraging people to vote a specific direction near polling places. It’s called electioneering

see that’s what im questioning. i definitely dont recall seeing signs like that in 2016, so i’m going to be looking up nc’s laws tomorrow.

What is your favorite warm beverage? probably hot chocolate! or canela

How many pillows/blankets do you use when you sleep? i use one pillow & two blankets now but i used to never sleep w/a pillow before...i love my one (1) pillow now though

Do you concentrate better with sounds or silence? i concentrate better with sound (especially music) when it comes to stuff like writing, but for studying & reading it’s sometimes easier to concentrate with silence (though i still listen to music doing both once in a while)

Do you prefer late nights or early morning? early mornings? honestly idk but i usually can’t stay up too late lmao i always fall asleep like at 8 at night unless i’m procrastinating for a midnight deadline

Is making comments during movies okay?  only if it’s not in public! otherwise i love it

White, milk or dark chocolate?  milk chocolate! white chocolate is ok too but dark chocolate is gross

Which is better, ebooks or physical books?  ebooks bc they’re more convenient

What kind of pet(s) do you have (if any- bonus, show pics!)?  aw i don’t have any pets but i wish i did !

Phone calls, texting/IMing, or talking in person?  texting...i hate phone calls and i’m super awkward to talk to in person :/

What is your favorite comfort food? oh man idk if i have one...bread, probably. or potatoes.

What’s your favorite season?  fall! I love halloween, and it’s usually still warm outside here during that time of year anyway so i’m not suffering™ from the cold
