Beyond and Before, by Yes. 1969. Reccing because there’s something here that reminds me of Smile. Early Queen was compared to Led Zeppelin and sometimes Yes -- which I never thought about until I heard this. When I hear this song, I get this gif of Brian in my head, and I just can imagine him playing it.

35. ‘tache or no ‘tache?

This is tough because I think Freddie is SO handsome either way...He really pulled off the no-tache long-hair look in the mid 70s, I LOVE the shorter curly hair + no-tache combo in the late 70s, and the very gay tache lewk in the 80s (and ngl I know the reason behind him having a beard in the late 80s was not so much a *style* choice...but rather because of his sarcoma, so I feel odd gushing over something that was probably a sensitive issue to him, but still. He looked wonderful with the stubble/beard).

Impossible to decide what I like the most, because they’re such different looks, and they’re all iconic. I’m copping out. Both. Both is good.

41. Jelly sandals or clogs?

On Brian I think both are just awful, but I like that he just doesn’t give a hoot. So, massive points for that. Aesthetically, I just think they’re both terrible-looking. I would wear neither xD. Also, I once had a dramatic clog-related accident that involved me tripping and toppling down some stairs as a kid, so I have a natural aversion.

My theory about Roger and ties after about 1982 is that Dominique for years took the kids to Tie Rack and told them to go crazy for daddy’s Christmas present and then Roger opens up the parcels and is all ‘green and orange checks! Amazing’

this does not explain the 70s where, i would argue, some of the more egregious choices were made

I completely misread this and somehow skipped over “LEAST”...I was gonna change it up and pick my faves from “Tommy” instead of a Queen album, then I read it again. So!

I’m going to pick my three LEAST favorite songs off of A Night at the Opera, my favorite Queen album. It’s the one Queen album I can listen to from start to finish without skipping because I love them ALL. Thanks, @stesichoreanpalinode​ for the pain I’m about to inflict upon myself!

5: Roger, Freddie, Brian

Ooh, thank you for the ask, @stesichoreanpalinode ! Hmmmm.

go on a six hour road trip with (no car radio, you choose who drives): I think Roger for this one. No radio, but no one said anything about listening to music on our phones. ;- ) Knowing how cars tend to spontaneously combust with Roger behind the wheel, I’d be the one driving.

sit next to on a six hour plane flight: I’m not the best flier, so I would rely on Freddie to keep me entertained with games of Death Scrabble. Yes, Death Scrabble, gossip, and mini bottles of champagne -- so tres charmant, my dear!

sit across from on a six hour train journey: Sitting across from Brian May for six hours on a train trip? Sign me up! I’ve always wanted to take a trip by train. Sitting across from Brian and staring at his beautiful face for six hours sounds like heaven.
