Steven universe episode where Amethyst keeps making lonely island music video references and alienating herself because no one cares about the lonely island anymore. She tries getting Steven into it but he just doesn't vibe with the humor.

The ending of the episode has Amethyst screaming in the rain "LIKE A BOSS WAS FUNNY!" and then she pauses, looks down at her reflection in a puddle, "It was funny..." And then Steven hugs her and she cries.

Amethyst comes to terms with the fact that her favorite things aren't considered cool anymore or whatever.

Art and writer's block have been kicking me in the knee lately but they took a break for one whole hour to allow me to draw this (there was also a discussion and art with mers that helped). Brain also went brrr on the concept. Stev and Avery from the My Time series.

Avery is a lion fish inspired mer - all spiky and warrior-like and also venomous. Can turn other beings into mers. What Avery wants, Avery gets and Stev will be turned into a mer as well. Was considering doing some companion piceces with Stev's transformation but I'll see what my art block has to say about it.
