“In this new sonification of Perseus, the sound waves astronomers previously identified were extracted and made audible for the first time. The sound waves were extracted in radial directions, that is, outwards from the center. This is wild to me because unlike color enhanced images that colorize wavelengths we physically cannot see, this is just pitching up sounds that are out of our range into our range, but the notes are the same.
