Netflix's The Monkey King is inspired by the Chinese tale. The film stars Jimmy O. Yang (Monkey), Bowen Yang (Dragon King), and Jolie Hoang-Rappaport (Lin). Anthony Stacchi directs from a screenplay by Ron J. Friedman and Stephan Bencich.
The Monkey King hits Netflix on August 18, 2023.
