A few close-ups...

The Futuristas was a comic project created by dearly departed friend and writer Steve Bennett, about a fun and exciting science-based superhero team, that sadly never came to be due to Steve's untimely passing. 😔

I had previously also worked on 3 comic covers for him (collecting and reprinting his Rovers comic series from Malibu Comics back in the day, which you can see if you scroll down a bit on my page), and this 2019 pinup was the last thing I got to do for him, may he rest in peace. 🙏

I just finished a panel alongside the guest Steve Bennett, an anime and manga artist with credits including things like Urusei Yatsura, Cutey Honey '90, Crusher Joe, Hyper Dolls, New Vampire Princess Miyu, Dragon Wars, Voltron, and Ogenki Clinic. He had offered me to come up and do the panel with him after I showed him some of my art. I will definitely have to take part in Widbey island comic con next year!
