a man at my boyfriends work just said he’s the spitting image of a young James McAvoy.
his exact words were “that guy from shameless” and then got a pic up on Google.

No one will ever understand the sexual tension between Steve McBride and Officer Tony "Helmet" like I do.
Okay, I love both versions of the show (though I’ll always have a soft spot for the UK version because I’m British) but I would literally die for UK Shameless Steve, but I would probably hit US Shameless Steve (or I guess Jimmy) in the face

JAMES MCAVOY WAS IN SHAMELESS UK???
Steve is often presented as the moral hero of the show. Although a car thief, he proudly claims to have not committed a single violent crime in his life. He is often vocal about Frank's mistreatment of his kids, even going so far as to send him to Toronto, drunk and drugged up after witnessing Frank headbutt his son Ian.
Steve had a casual friendship with Fiona's neighbour, Kevin Ball, although they sometimes got on each other's nerves. Kev would often address Steve as "Posh it's lit YEE YEE Lad".
Steve had a close rapport with Fiona's siblings. He would trade anecdotes and cheeky banter with Lip and he would display a protective and nurturing side with the younger children like Debbie, and was very tolerant of a then three year old Liam, who would sometimes sneak into the same bed as him and Fiona.
Steve is from a family of medical professionals. He was set to follow the same career path before quitting medical school after two years of study. He once told Fiona that his family was the "medical equivalent of a battery farm."
Tell me, he wouldn't have made a good Steve.
Okay, since I’ve started Bizim Hikaye which is a Turkish remake of Shameless and I already have seen the original British Shameless when it aired. After I submit my dissertation, I’m going to start US Shameless because I want to do a post ranking and comparing the Franks, Fionas, Steves, Lips, the ships etc.
Because Turkish Steve/Fiona - Barış and Filiz (BarFi) - I’m soft for them and hardcore shipping them in a way that OG Steve/Fiona didn’t and then I hear that Fiona/Jimmy(?) is very messy.
Also I hear the US Shameless is good in its own right. Like it doesn’t have some of the aspects I loved about OG Shameless (but that’s because the OG evolved into an ensemble about the Chatsworth Estate) but US Shameless does have the fam more because the Gallaghers didn’t leave the show so soon.
And Bizim Hikaye has such a different tone to both versions (it doesn’t try to be a remake of a British show or the US version, it feels Turkish. But then there is Turkish censorship so some good parts are omitted because of conservative censorship)
