Then the killing scene only impressed me more; it's pure music #Video aesthetics; all neon lighting and an unnatural white glare from the bathroom; the gloved killer and the atonal strumming on guitar.#It's a beautiful sequence and makes this worth checking out for that alone. It also ends superbly with a horrendously tense few scenes of #Pursuit and confrontation. Two beautiful bookends; I'd be lying if I said it didn't dip at all in the middle. It's only a slight dip tho #And Franklin's macabre sense of humour and the charm of the two leads means that it never truly flags. Also for fans of cute animals in #Films: this features a VERY cute dog (or dingo) who steals the whole film and does not die (always good to know right?)#But yeah. The polish on this... The professionalism... Absolutely nuts to me that this is essentially the same team that made ozploitation #Schlocker Patrick just a couple of years earlier. How they'd all grown. The core trio being Franklin De Roche and composer Brian May (not #That one). Alas all three are gone now and at relatively young ages. But there was a moment in time when those three WERE australian cinema #And honestly when the films were as good as this one.. Well fair play to them. Good work boys.
