Paul Lambert steals victory in return to Carrow Road.
Paul Lambert, who left Norwich in the summer under 'sour' terms, lead his Aston Villa side to a 4-1 Capital One Cup victory on his first visit back to Carrow Road.
Norwich took the lead in the 11th minute through Steve Morison, but were pegged back almost instantly through a powerful strike from Brett Holman.
Another highlight on the night was the starting eleven place for Darren Bent. He started sharply, but as half-time approached, he was forced off the field with an injury.
In the second half, Aston Villa took control of the game as Norwich sat back. Norwich hit Aston Villa on the break and Steve Morison turned the ball into the Villa net for the second time, unfortunately, he, and the rest of the crowd, turned to see the offside flag. Similarly, Villa had the ball in the Norwich net for the second time with the same result.
Andi Weimann sealed the game with two late goals, and Benteke grabbed one to send the Norwich fans home early.
