(DECEMBER 22, 2016) Mayor Eric Garcetti’s LAPD Commission is no friend of law and order.
Law enforcement support President-elect Donald Trump because they feel like he has their back.
Unfortunately, cops don’t feel the same way about the LAPD Commission, Mayor Garcetti, or the way both have recently embraced the anti-police Black Lives Matter movement.
LAPD proudly posed with Donald Trump during the campaign
Coincidentally, the Commission became more BLM-friendly after activists ended a 54-day City Hall encampment in September. You may recall, one of the “Occupy LA City Hall” demands was for Garcetti to “appoint real community advocates to the LA Police Commission.”
Garcetti did as he was demanded to do, placing not one, but two new Black Lives Matter-friendly commissioners on that board.
Then the activists backed off the mayor. Just in time for his campaign for re-election.
Garcetti, who lost the African-American vote to Wendy Greuel in 2013, is putting his political aspirations before public safety. Who cares about the integrity of his police force when there is an election to win next May?
His first new addition to the Commission was attorney Cynthia McClain-Hill, who immediately changed the tone by pacifying Black Lives Matter. The neophyte temporarily became a nemesis of Commissioner Soboroff, constantly stepping on his toes. At the time, Soboroff seemed to be one of the good guys. But he soon folded, issuing a public apology to McClain-Hill, Black Lives Matter, their allies, and more. I wonder who told him to do that?
Soon after, Garcetti placed Shane Murphy Goldsmith on the board. Goldsmith runs a foundation that funds some of the most anti-cop groups in California, including several nonprofits affiliated with Black Lives Matter which have disrupted LAPD Commission meetings for years. In fact, one group funded by Goldsmith’s foundation recently filed a federal lawsuit against LAPD.

Meanwhile, star-struck Commissioner Soboroff seems oblivious to the fact that gushing over rapper Jay Z, who donated $1.5 million to the Black Lives Matter movement, is a slap in the face to the men and women officers in the street. Black Lives Matter seeks to abolish the police, and uniformed LAPD are often targets of the group’s anti-cop rhetoric and antics.
It appears that the only Garcetti appointee that has not been co-opted is Commission President Matt Johnson. He is the noble patsy, who Garcetti has placed in an impossible situation, partly based on the color of his skin.
Still, Black Lives Matter-LA leader Melina Abdullah often insults Johnson by calling him the “House Negro.”
Soboroff used to have his back, but Johnson is on his own now.
Look for Black Lives Matter to go hard at Johnson in 2017.
(OCTOBER 9, 2016) On Friday, the union representing LAPD sent a letter to Mayor Eric Garcetti and Council President Herb Wesson condemning the recent Police Commission appointment of Cynthia McClain-Hill.

The letter was written by the Los Angeles Police Protective League Board of Directors and was signed by LAPPL President Craig Lally.
“We write to express our deep concern and considerable disappointment in your recent appointee to the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners, Cynthia McClain-Hill,” the letter begins.
Ever since joining the board, McClain-Hill has gone out of her way to distance herself from Matthew Johnson, Steve Soboroff and the rest of her peers. Apparently, it happened again last week.
“Commissioner Matthew Johnson had to adjourn the October 4 public meeting of the Police Commission due to the highly disruptive behavior of the professional agitators who show up each Tuesday,” Lally wrote.
“Rather than joining her fellow Commissioners after the public adjournment, Ms. McClain-Hill stayed with the group responsible for shutting down the public meeting, and encouraged their anti-democratic behavior.”
That wasn’t the first time McClain-Hill went out of her way to align herself with anti-police activists. She has even empowered them to bully other meeting attendees who aren’t affiliated with their movement. She’s rudely stepped on Commissioner Soboroff’s toes more than once, sending a signal to the weekly troublemakers that she’s on their side.
After “protestors” shut down last week’s meeting, they shouted “Whose house? Our house!” Then, even worse, McClain-Hill told them “it’s not your fault” the meeting was shut down! (see video below)

Just when you thought Garcetti couldn’t have made things worse, he did exactly that.
It’s worse!
At this point, it seems like Commissioner Johnson is our only hope to possibly contain the suspected Trojan horse known as Cynthia McClain-Hill. Hopefully, Soboroff will step up so Johnson’s not a sitting duck.
Would it be pessimistic to predict that it won’t get any better as long as McClain-Hill sits on the Commission?
Garcetti should nip this in the bud now before McClain-Hill causes more cops in the street to lose even more confidence in both him and the Board of Police Commissioners. But since Mayor Garcetti, and his pajama boys, are terrified of black people don’t hold your breath waiting on this to happen.
(OCTOBER 8, 2016) Steve Soboroff eats my heart out.
He’s a fake Republican. He got punked by a fake Black Lives Matter group. And he recently retweeted a fake black dude.
All in an attempt to demonstrate to Los Angeles just how politically correct he really is.
LAPD Commissioner Steve Soboroff thinks he shares goals with Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King.
After more than two years as a police commissioner, Soboroff still hasn’t figured out that he’s watching a coordinated anti-police/anti-capitalist movement unfold every Tuesday during the LAPD meetings.
“Fuck you Steve,” they taunt.
“Shut up Steve,” they instruct.
“I know where your ass lives,” they threaten.
I’m the only person in town trying to educate and defend his misguided self, but Soboroff appears to be a slow learner.
It’s a matter of public safety.
Just when it looked like Soboroff turned the corner and finally started to follow along, the Commish reverted back to his failed attempts to pacify the very people who hate him, LAPD, capitalism and almost everything the police commissioner represents (a Jewish, crony, gentrifying, wealthy, white, heterosexual man who kisses Mayor Eric Garcetti’s butt 24/7).
Self-described “Republican”/LAPD Commissioner Steve Soboroff (right), stands with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in supporting Hillary Clinton for president.
Commissioner Soboroff still behaves as though he can reason and find common ground with the same anti-police activists who seek LAPD abolition and call him a white supremacist every week. In so doing, he makes gestures that only invite more disrespect.
Case in point: last month’s public apology to Black Lives Matter, Occupy LA-types, and the possible Trojan horse who’s infiltrated the LAPD Commission. Who knows if it was ordered by Mayor Garcetti, or if Soboroff really believes he took the high road? It doesn’t matter, because they laughed in his face.
How about this Twitter exchange below with Dr. Melina Abdullah, just two days after one of the most chaotic, disrepectful LAPD meetings ever.
Two days after all hell broke loose during the LAPD Commission meeting on September 20, Commissioner Soboroff offered to speak to Dr. Melina Abdullah’s students about community policing and empathy.
Abdullah is a lead organizer with Black Lives Matter-LA and has always been open and honest about her goal of police abolition. What will it take for Soboroff to understand that neither the protesters, nor their leaders, are interested in being pals with law enforcement?
Oddly, Soboroff never seems to criticize the troublemakers who’ve hijacked the police commission.
Instead, the police commissioner spends most of his time on Twitter talking trash about the law-and-order presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump.
Despite voting to re-elect Barack Obama in 2012, Soboroff still says, with a straight face, that he’s a Republican.
During the 2013 Los Angeles Mayoral Race, Soboroff donated to Democrats Garcetti, Wendy Greuel and Jan Perry, but didn’t give a penny to Kevin James, the lone GOP candidate.
This cycle he’s mocked Trump supporters as ‘inbred’, criticized the nation’s largest police union for endorsing the GOP nominee, and says he’s voting for the Garcetti-endorsed Democrat, Hillary Clinton.
But don’t dare question Soboroff’s GOP credentials.
Ironically, the same people trying to shut down Trump’s GOP gatherings are the same people successfully shutting down Soboroff’s LAPD meetings.
The activists want to transform our country’s institutions (like public safety and public schools) into their collectivist, Utopian vision. In the eyes of these rabble-rousers, both Trump and the LAPD represent the guardians of a social order that must be dismantled in order for the revolution to advance. They aren’t looking to compromise. Soboroff shouldn’t either.
Whether it be a Trump rally in Costa Mesa, or a police commission meeting downtown, the common motive of the agitators is to ‘shut that shit down.’
Soboroff can accept that reality, or keep naively throwing out olive branches - serving as Garcetti’s shield while the mayor hides on the other side of the commission barrier.
Generally speaking, I believe Commissioner Soboroff is a good man with good intentions.
I just wish the Commish would stop extending the hand of friendship to Black Lives Matter revolutionaries who seek to abolish the police and dismantle capitalism.
(SEPTEMBER 28, 2016) Commissioner Steve Soboroff has apologized to neophyte police commish Cynthia McClain-Hill, a cadre of activists who call him a white supremacist every week, and several others for blowing his top during last week’s LAPD Commission meeting.
“Last Tuesday I lost my temper,” Soboroff said at the beginning of yesterday’s meeting.
Some in the audience reacted by laughing in his face.
After Commissioner Matthew Johnson called for order, Soboroff continued.
“I want to apologize to a number of people. First of all, to Commissioner McClain-Hill. Second of all, to the other commissioners. Third of all, to the police officers that were in this room, because I think that losing my temper escalated things that put you guys in a difficult position, and I apologize for that. And last but not least, I want to apologize to everyone that was here.”
It’s unknown if this admission of guilt was ordered by Mayor Eric Garcetti, or if Soboroff swallowed his pride on his own accord. Regardless, don’t expect the apology to result in Black Lives Matter-LA treating Soboroff with more respect. Quite the opposite.
“I want to thank Commissioner Soboroff for doing what is difficult, and that is saying in public that he made a mistake in losing his temper.” McClain-Hill said. “Apologies aren’t easy. Grace demands that when they are sincerely given, that we try to accept them.”
During last week’s meeting, Soboroff snapped at McClain-Hill while being taunted by activists affiliated with Black Lives Matter. As Soboroff left the meeting, he was accused of flipping off protesters.
(SEPTEMBER 21, 2016) Playing directly into the hands of Black Lives Matter revolutionaries, new LAPD Commissioner Cynthia McClain-Hill did her best to isolate herself from the rest of her peers at Tuesday’s meeting.
It was the usual tactics by the usual suspects. The Black Lives Matter crew taunted a seemingly defenseless Commissioner Steve Soboroff. He blew his top, and who can blame him for it? The guy gets abused every week by hecklers, while Mayor Eric Garcetti hides on the other side of the commission barrier.
(Pandemonium ensued at the LAPD Police Commission on September 20, 2016, as Black Lives Matter activists and allies were emboldened by new Commissioner Cynthia McClain-Hill)
“I’ve got the gavel and I run the meeting,” a visibly irritated Soboroff appeared to snap as McClain-Hill stepped on his toes for the second consecutive week.
The agitators in the audience, whose goals include police abolition, instinctively sided with McClain-Hill, an African-American, while deeming Soboroff’s reaction to be racist.
Pandemonium ensued.
Soboroff called for a recess, and while exiting the meeting the commish was accused of flipping off the rabble-rousers. I don’t know if he was giving them the bird, or scratching his ear. But since Black Lives Matter didn’t give a hoot when Soboroff said Trump supporters looked inbred, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt now.
(still image taken from video above. You make the call.)
“Are you alright, sister,” one activist asked McClain-Hill after the exchange.
Rather than recessing, a naive McClain-Hill stayed behind in an attempt to pacify the disruptive, disrespectful bunch. She even apologized to one of the attendees for not calling her on the telephone.
Then, at the request of the activists, McClain-Hill pleaded with uniformed LAPD in the room to break up their scrimmage line separating the commish from the crowd.
The cops didn’t budge.
To be clear, Black Lives Matter wants friction on the Police Commission. They want to disrupt the meetings, every week, in pursuit of tearing down the barrier known as the LAPD Commission. They don’t seek police reform. They seek police abolition. They might act like they are upset by what happened yesterday, but they couldn’t have written a more beneficial script to their cause.
Thanks to McClain-Hill, the kids now think they can play mom against dad. Get ready. Yesterday’s mayhem was a sight for subversive sore eyes.
“(McClain-Hill) is really black. She’s connected to us,” Black Lives Matter-LA leader Melina Abdullah said in a shot at Commissioner Matthew Johnson. “They don’t want her. They want black people that think they’re white. They want black faces on white supremacy.”
Abdullah can be seen in the video above calling Johnson the “House Negro”. Today, she showed McClain-Hill love on social media.
“So far, so good on McClain-Hill. A different brand of commissioner” Abdullah tweeted.
It remains to be seen if McClain-Hill is actually a trojan horse, or just completely clueless. But when it comes to Garcetti’s police commission appointments, the only qualification seems to be a generous donation to his campaign.
(SEPTEMBER 17, 2016) For more than two years, Black Lives Matter-LA and its allies have disrupted “business as usual” at the LA Police Commission meetings. The nonstop annoyances are part of a long-term strategy designed to dismantle the LAPD. Amazingly, some commissioners haven’t figured that out yet.
No matter how many times BLM admits it, most people don’t want to believe that the group seeks police abolition. That means they don’t want to be pals with the law enforcement. Or the police commission.
Still, some commissioners foolishly extend olive branches, which only empower the anti-police activists to create more chaos.
Have you ever seen parents that can’t control their children?
That’s a good way to view the relationship between the police commission and the agitators affiliated with Black Lives Matter.
The uncontrollables keep misbehaving under the guise of free speech/political protest, but they are really trying to turn the meetings into an inefficient waste of time. It’s about tearing down the LAPD bureaucracy in pursuit of revolution. Eventually, BLM wants to replace the police force with community based public safety teams.
Below are a few observations from Tuesday’s rumpus, which was actually rather tame. In short, the entire situation is out of control. See videos below.
EXHIBIT A
This is the first meeting I’ve watched since Commissioner Cynthia McClain-Hill joined the board. Don’t give her a pass because she’s new. It seems she’s entered her new role with an open mind and still has to figure out who the troublemakers are. Hopefully, she’s a fast learner.
Commission President Matthew Johnson did his best to keep things orderly, but since Mayor Eric Garcetti walks on eggshells, there’s only so much Johnson can do. Especially with audience members like Dr. Melina Abdullah, a BLM-LA leader, taunting him almost every week.
EXHIBIT B
Later in the meeting, Commissioner Steve Soboroff tried to hold court, but he was basically reduced to a dartboard. Non-stop disrespect, including BLM-LA activist Jasmine Abdullah (a.k.a. Jasmine Richards) instructing the commish to “shut up”. Thrice. She was ejected, along with a comrade who yelled, “Fuck you Steve” while vacating. This is nothing new. It’s normal. It’s routine.
Regardless, a delusional Soboroff tries to organize picnics where LAPD breaks bread with BLM revolutionaries.
Bless his heart. .
EXHIBIT C
During public comment, there is no order.
The irony.
LAPD looks so weak.
You’d think by now Soboroff would learn how to say, “cut her mic.”
But they’re allowed to drone on and on and on.
And Soboroff sits there looking like a whipped puppy.
Even worse, a placating McClain-Hill asks aloud, “Is it possible that we could figure out how to move forward with the meeting?”
What a novel idea!
This foul-mouthed crew in the video below represents “Stop LAPD Spying Coalition”. They have officially partnered with Black Lives Matter-LA.
EXHIBIT D
Just when you thought it was about to end, anti-LAPD activists disrupted the meeting for an umpteenth time. They held up a banner and chanted for two minutes as uniformed cops just sat there.
Soboroff threatened to end the meeting, totally clueless that the people causing the scene actually want the meeting to end. Then, McClain-Hill rudely stepped on Soboroff’s toes, as if she’s the savior sent here to fix everything.
“Business as usual” is, once again, successfully disrupted.
Mission accomplished!
Soboroff goes on to confuse agenda items, among other things.
(JULY 22, 2016) On Thursday afternoon, Black Lives Matter-LA confirmed that the group has rejected Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff’s invitation to picnic with LAPD.
Earlier this week, Soboroff read a misleading USA Today article which reported a “Kansas Black Lives Matter group” ditched plans for a police protest, opting to picnic with Wichita law enforcement instead.
Black Lives Matter-DC soon clarified that the obscure group referenced by USA Today is not affiliated with its movement, and cooking out with cops “is out of line” with their principles.
Of course, savvy observers of Black Lives Matter already knew that. Sadly, that doesn't include most of the media or the police commissioner.
Still, Commissioner Soboroff thought it would be a good idea to recreate that pipe dream in Los Angeles with a real Black Lives Matter chapter.
(JULY 20, 2016) Early this morning, Los Angeles Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff offered to finance a picnic for LAPD and Black Lives Matter-LA.
Despite being a police commissioner for nearly three years now, Soboroff still hasn’t figured out that Black Lives Matter doesn’t like cops.
BLM-LA leader Melina Abdullah has compared the modern police force to “slave catchers”, and admits one of the group’s long-term goals is “police abolition”.
Yet, the naive commish thinks common ground can be found.
Commissioner Soboroff got the idea from a questionable story published by USA Today.
A Black Lives Matter group in Wichita, Kan., originally planned a protest Sunday but instead had a cookout with police.
Following recent officer-involved shootings and acts of violence, the Kansas Black Lives Matter Group wanted to voice concern. Tuesday after a long discussion with the Wichita Police Department, the group decided to cancel the Sunday protest and instead come together with officers for the First Steps Cookout, a gathering in a local park aimed at taking the first stop towards building a relationship between officers and the community.
But according to Black Lives Matter’s website, they have no chapter in Kansas.
However, the site’s listing of official chapters does showcase a quote from cop killer Huey P. Newton.
Anyone can make a sign or repeat a slogan, but that doesn’t mean they fully understand the “Black Lives Matter” crusade or its leaders’ motives. Of course, that’s probably part of the plan.
In the eyes of an ignorant media, any black person that utters “Black Lives Matter” must represent the highly-organized, subversive campaign.
To be clear, “Black Lives Matter” is a global movement intent on dismantling both the police force and capitalism. They pay tribute to Marxist revolutionary Assata Shakur before every event, and hold many other cop killers in high reverence. Its roots can be traced back to the radical Weather Underground of the 1960s.
The cops in the street understand this, even if Commissioner Soboroff doesn’t. That’s probably why the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), the union representing LAPD, asked Mayor Eric Garcetti for more support last weekend.
Black Lives Matter’s leaders aren’t looking to negotiate, compromise, or attend picnics with police officers. The sooner the LA Police Commissioners realize this, the safer we’ll all be.

***UPDATE 12:09PM***
A few hours after this blogger questioned the authenticity of what USA Today described as “a Kansas Black Lives Matter Group”, they were disavowed by the real Black Lives Matter movement.
Black Lives Matter-DC clarified that the picnic with law enforcement “is not in line with our principles.” The national Black Lives Matter account retweeted those sentiments.
More evidence that LAPD Commissioner Soboroff has no clue about the Black Lives Matter movement or the threat it poses.
