So #ericholder gave an unusual answer when #stevencolbert asked him about #trump claim that the #obama administration separated families too. Instead of side stepping/diminishing accountability, or giving a non-detailed, “Yes and no, it’s complicated” - he actually launched into a detailed explanation of the immigration policy of the Obama administration, and the evidence to support it. In order words, he wasn’t afraid to talk cold, boring policy - because honestly: Assuming your audience won’t “get it” is costing us real conversations on how to make our lives better as a country.
