Pearlplusau Animatic #2: Its over isn't it? (By Tripixle)

I've posted a description of the video from before, post link can be found here.

But if you're interested, I have some additional thoughts:

Pearl's idea of "I was fine with the men, who would come into her life now and again" indicates Rose dated several other humans that came and went as time goes by.

In this au however, she might have left out Coral from the equation because she didn't think Coral was even a competition.

However, when Coral came into the scene, Pearl finally realized there IS someone that understood. Coral was with Pearl the whole time. The rebellion, the life on earth, the aftermath, Rose's death, and Steven's birth.

This is probably why their duet makes sense. The two pearls have been playing an epic chess match for Pink/Rose's heart but in reality, they've both lost to Greg and neither of them wanted to admit it.

This is probably the breaking point of their relationship and how they can finally talk about it without worrying to be at each other's throats.

But anyways, these are just my thoughts.

Lastly, two animatics down, two to go!

Coral's part in Happily Ever After has been sent in, but they're not exactly in their original versions. I'll try to edit in an instrumental soundtrack of Pearl's Happily Ever After and hope for a similar outcome!

Now we're just missing "Listen Before I Go", which is probably the other huge animatic project done by Tripixle regarding this AU.

Little fact abt them: Their last instagram post was almost 10 months ago, and i was kinda expecting it to be an abandoned acc. But turns out they WERE still active and they were the first responders out of all three of my messaged artists.

UPDATE ON THE NEXT CHAPTER! (And the chance to be part of it!)

Hey guys, Ive moved out to a relative's house and start working at the office instead of WFH. Its been two weeks and I think Ive adjusted to the lifestyle here. Now I have this goal to write around 500 words every week for the next chapter.

But before I announce when the next chapter will be ready, I want you guys to be a part of the writing process. I am at the early stages of the story, and they're mostly at the first drafts.

So I would like to show you guys the main plot points of the next chapter and be included more and more.

Okay so the following showcases the main plotpoints for the eighth chapter. (I might also do this with chapter 9, but lets see how chapter 8 goes first.) If there are any changes to the plot I'll let you guys know.

Chapter 8 - The human

1. Greg meets gems - Coral warps in with Garnet - the whole "lets throw him over the fence" thing - Rose walks in - Gems interact with Greg - Greg leaves - Gems talk to Rose about Greg being human - Gems eavesdrop on Gregs proposal from their rooms - Rose and Greg starts dating - each gem interacts differently with Greg as Rose's bf - Pearl reminds gems that Greg wont be around forever - Amethyst admires Gregs hair - Coral treats Greg like Rose's favorite thing. (Its pretty much from the episode "Young Gems" with an extended act.)

2. Gems starts to get used to Greg - starts seeing how happy he makes Rose - Coral pressed record on video tape - Rainbow Quartz appearance - Coral distracts Amy from Greg and Garnet - Coral follows others to the stage - Gems spies on Greg's attempt to "fuse" with Rose - "Oh them? Those are four long stories." - Gems realizes Rose was serious about Greg - Gems try to not think about it too much - Coral did not quite catch on to the issue - Coral talks to Greg abt the stage - Greg does his best to explain his point of view to Coral - Coral talks about how Rose and the gems lived for a long time - sees the earth as something to preserve - never really thought about being equal - cuz the beings she loves doesn't stay forever...

Im just throwing this out there, so please don't feel obligated to do this if you're not up for it.

Im here to announce that I am open to ideas. It can be an interesting plot point, an easter egg from the canon series, a suggestion for the a certain plotpoint (Ex. how each gem would interact with greg separately) , a headcanon of some sort or anything that you think will benefit the plot and make it a little bit more interesting to read. The biggest thing I want to get out of this is to interact with you guys. Theres almost 2000 of you and I wanna interact with you guys before we get to 2k. This is our chance to do that. So if you're up for

Whether your idea is big or small, send them in. But I cant give a 100% guarantee that it will be included in the story. I still want to follow the plotpoints in mind, so not every single idea given will be implemented in the story.

Theres a chance that the story can turn to a different direction. Theres also a chance that the story will be completed without any major changes at all.

For example, maybe someone sends in an idea that Coral should treat Greg like how Pearl treats him. It's a pretty logical idea, but we already know the dynamic of Coral and Greg. It was mentioned by Tripixle over a year ago. Something about being repressive and pretty different from Pearl's dynamic with Greg.

Or maybe someone gives an idea that clashes with another someone's idea. And if I like either of those ideas, I would only still be able to pick one out of the two.

But don't be discouraged to give out your ideas. Who knows, maybe I'll like the idea so much that I draft out another version of the story (like an outtake), or I can include them in future chapters.

Whatever ideas you guys give, just know that it will be here forever and know that you made an impact to the storyline.

I will be tagging those who gave ideas at the end of the chapter. Just know that I will be tagging the first person that gave out the idea.

And if this chapter goes well, I might do this again for future chapters.

Theres no deadline for giving out ideas, but I do have the goal to complete chapter 8 by the end of March next year. So if you would like to contribute, just send in your ideas by then.

Hopefully this will be a collaborative writing experience for all of us!

PearlPlus! Introducing the two Porls!

Ok so, this is the second pearlplusau comic in Tripixle's instagram, as you can see in the first panel, we see Rose being attacked possibly an Amethyst and a Jasper. As she grinned at the two enemy gems, her faithful companions with a sword in hand comes in and Assist in combat, while also being introduced as "Terryfying tales of her two pearls"

Scrolling through the comments section on that post, i see a lot of ppl wishing Pearl to be called Rainbow, possibly because of two reasons:

1. If they want to be easily differenciated, both having different names instead of leaving one of them to preserve the name Pearl, it would be more, fair to both of them as that name was what they were called for so long.

2. Rainbow quartz fusion influence? The knowledge of Pearl's fusion with Rose resulting as RQ? Its a possibility lol.

I decided to repost this not because of random posting or anything, this is like, the influence of getting PinkPearl called "Coral" instead of what Tripixle named.

Which will be addressed in the next Chapter.

Im working on a digital poster so you guys can get a picture of what it might lead to.

Surprise art work?

As mentioned, the chapter writing is on hiatus, along with courseworks and such, but recently i picked up art as a hobby again so may i present-

Coral redraws of Pearl scenes (May or may not be cursed)

Tbh im not sure where i would put these in future stories, but thats not important.

Whats important is i can do small art works while doing fanfiction writing, which is neat.

I would send this to Tripixle on Instagram, but it doesnt look like shes responding anytime soon, so maybe some time in the future when she's more active.

So to sum up, im picking up art and drawing again, drawing for the blog (with as much free time available) and planning for the future chapters.
