EA Will Release Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order This Year
This may come as something of a surprise, and there is still plenty of time to delay or cancel it altogether, but EA has confirmed its plans to release ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ this year. The game is expected to be a third person single player campaign, set after the events of “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith”. In an earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said of the game:
“The game’s development is led by the former director of the God of War series(Stig Asmussen), with a team of veterans from some of the industry’s biggest action-adventure games. It’s very far along in development and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well. This game truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi, and we will have a lot more to share soon.”
With EA’s recent track record, I can’t say as if I am holding my breath on this one just yet. If the game is expected to be released this year and we haven’t seen anything from it yet? Unless something comes out really, really soon, I can see either a delay or cancellation notice coming for this title.
