ninjago's greco-roman mythology references are so well done

like stiix in the show acts as the bridge from the mortal realm of ninjago to the preeminent and the cursed realm and the mythological river styx marked the end of mortal ancient greece and the entrance to the underworld

AND the first realm's hearth fire symbolises the safety and hope of the ice villagers; vesta's flame symbolised the same for the ancient romans. vesta's flame was tended to by the vestal virgins (a specific college of priestesses) and every day and night more wood would be added to the hearth fire
