Well what if the nogitsune is in control of stiles at the time and Scott asks what his real name is and nogitsune doesn't know and that's how they figure out when it is and isn't Stiles. Then finally later in the season they ask him and it's actually Stiles and boom he says his real name. Hey it could happen!
