Running to Chris after the pack had gotten his father killed had been the only thing Stiles had thought to do. He couldn’t stay in Beacon Hills alone, not after everything that had happened... not after being made to feel at fault for it all. Finding Chris in the next town over had been a blessing in disguise and he’d been with the man ever since.

Feelings had grown and now... after a night of watching movies and having a few drinks, Chris had kissed him and Stiles had been more than on board to return that kiss, heated and needy.

Chris pulled back after a long moment, breath uneven. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that."

Chris caught the younger male with ease, giving a sigh. "It's okay, Stiles. I'm right here." He assured. The moment felt like deja vu, he'd been standing here after Allison's death, devastated by the loss of the best thing in his life. Allison had kept him going when he had wanted to give up, but his living now was honoring her actions, her final sacrifice. Stiles and the Hales had helped him through the loss, and now it was time to return the favor. Raising a hand, he ran his fingers through Stiles' hair. "Do you need me to get anything from the house for you?"

Stiles whined softly, arching into Derek’s hand. “Always gonna be your mate, Der. Just needed to know you still wanted me.“

Derek bit gently over Stiles’ pulse. “I’ll have to make sure you never doubt how much I want you.” he mused, hand moving to push its way beneath the fabric of Stiles’ jeans. “Though perhaps it should wait until after dinner. Your dad and I finally get along. I’d rather not ruin that by mauling you in love marks before he can see you. But I will make sure you have something to look forward to.” The hand holding Stiles in place moved to unzip the denim and nudge it out of his way to better stroke Stiles. “Would you rather me use my hand or mouth, Stiles?”

Stiles shifted closer to Derek and kissed his cheek. “Sweetheart, it’s not going to happen. You’ve got Peter and me and we’re not gonna let you shut us out. Not again. We both love you, all right?” He held dereks hand and leaned against him for a few minutes longer. “Come on, sourwolf. Let’s get back home, all right? We’ve got a day of just doing nothing but cuddling together and vegging out on junk food and movies…”

Derek moved wothout thinking, wrapping his arms around the new wolf. "I love you." He whispered, knowing Stiles would hear it. Staying in sioence as he looked at the graves, he felt a kind of peace come over him. Ot wasn't something he could explain, not something he had felt when it came to his family. It was almost as if his family bad been waiting for him to bring Stiles, to know that he was finally happy. The relief of the peace made him feel oddly light, and when Stiles finally spoke, he tilted his head to kiss his mate gentlt. "Doing absolutely nothing all day with you is one of the best things I could ever think of."

Stiles was just coming out of his last class when he got the message and whimpered softly. Fuck... there was no way he was getting out of meeting them. Maybe he could play if off as a joke, make it seem like everything was fine and they’d go back to New York and he’d...figure out something else. He sighed heavily and messaged back that he would be there in half an hour. They didn’t need to know he was walking.

He tugged the flannel shirt tighter around him. He didn’t have a proper coat and it was cold. He hiked his bag higher on his shoulder and started walking to the cafe. By the time he got there, it had started snowing and stiles stepped inside, stamping his feet a bit and blowing o his hands to warm them up.

Peter had been on high alert, the wolf waiting for any sign of Stiles. Half an hour seemed a little steep, but Stiles was a college student, so he was willing to let it go if all seemed well. His back was to the wall, so he saw the young man first, reaching across to lay a hand over Chris’ and nod. 

Chris looked up and turned around to look, frowning just the slightest bit as he waved to get Stiles’ attention, his hand grasping Peter’s a little more firmly as he waited for Stiles to join them.

The younger man let himself be pulled close and tilted his head back as Chris kissed along his throat. The hands on his skin made him shiver. It being so good to be touched. It has been so long since anyone had touched him for any reason.

“I wanted to go back, to burn it all down. But finding you.. all I want is to stay with you.”

Chris paused to pull back and look at the younger man, blue eyes locking on the honey gold of Stiles'. "Burning it down would not have given you anything, Stiles. I can promise you that much." He assures softly, running a hand through dark hair. "Nothing but more darkness to carry on your soul."

Derek had stayed close during his mate’s first full moon, always ready to help Stiles and when the night had gone smoothly, he wasn’t surprised. Stiles had always been unique, and being turned was clearly no exception. He had gotten the younger to bed and when the alarm went off for his run, Derek opted to instead make breakfast, playing music quietly as he cooked, waiting for Stiles to wake up.

Golden eyes flashed once and then flashed purple before settling back to their normal amber. The Wolf-spark was pleased his mates would go with him. He leaned in and kissed Peter softly. “Thank you. Call Derek home then and we can pack and get ready to go. The sooner we go take care of the problem, the sooner we can come back home.”

Peter hated the thought of Beacon Hills. Other than Stiles and Derek, there were no good memories there for him. Nothing to tie him to it anymore but a handfulnof graves with a shared last name. But thebalpha knew Stiles. He knew he could never deny the turned wolf even if he tried, and now was no exception to the rule. He pulled his phone out, calling Derek to let the other know they would be leaving. He wasnt3surprised when Derek didnt3seem thrilled either, but it was Stiles and they would do anything for their boy. Once off the phone, he moved to place an order for food, knowing the three of them woupd need it going into a road trip back to Beacon. He nuzzled Stiles. "Never doubt that we love you." He mused on a teasing tone, kissing Stiles' neck.
