#tbt and this one goes way back! When I was a senior at Barnstable High School in 1972. I was one of the first seniors approved for a full two term independent study off campus. It was a new program and there were about 6, maybe 8 of us. There were more shorter ones. I shadowed different art teachers but mostly Debbi Barrows at Hyannis East and Hyannis West, both schools I had attended. I spent several weeks at both schools and got to interview my former teachers and principals. My project was assessing the level of creativity in the Barnstable schools. I know, big idea, big project. I wrote a big paper with all sorts of references, photos, and a serious dose of reality around being a teacher!
