My first Drawtober / Shiptober of 2023 is of my Casper OC, Melle Critenden, and a Stinkie shaped pumpkin!! x3 It's also a re-draw of a picture I did back in 2005-2006! It's crazy how time can make you better at drawing and finding your own style for something. The one on the left is new, the one on the right with "Happy Halloween" is the old one.
Was doing some more drawing challenges and was requested Melle, my Casper OC! I threw in Stinkie because I decided to do a Draw the squad pose!! I absolutely adore this! Hope you do too. The final Halloween picture of the year. This is one of my favorite movies and one of the first fandoms I was ever into, Casper from 1995. My favorite characters have always been The Ghostly Trio, especially Stinkie. I made my OC Melle to be paired up with him. Stinkie was voiced by my friend Joe Alaskey. We actually became friends through meeting online and getting his autograph. Sadly he has since passed on and was one of my favorite voice actors and such a great guy and friend. I decided to draw these two in honor of him and my favorite Halloween Movie. Stinkie and Melle soar through the skies on a clear Halloween Night! Once upon a time I was really well known (in a good way) in the Casper fandom for this ship. There are a lot of old pieces of artwork of these two floating about but this one is still one of my favorites that me and my GF worked on. This is my Casper OC Melle with my human form for Stinkie. My human version of him is called “Blayne”. We made him a farmer when he was alive. These two are soul mates who were together in Stinkie’s past life but she got reborn while he remained a ghost.
Oh more new Casper Art from me? Haha, yes! I’ve got a lot of new artwork in general coming soon. I couldn’t resist drawing Melle jumping into Stinkies arms just screaming in fear of something. The poor ghost being so confused. Sorry, Stink, she ain’t scared of you. It’s whatever that thing is.....probably a spider honestly.
This is another old piece of mine that my GF and I made of Stinkie and Melle. We wanted Stinkie to look incredibly love struck as he floats down behind Melle as she comes in from her Art Classes. I think here I had it so Melle was 18 and had started college. She was supposed to be based off of me back then and my teenage crush on Stinkie, not a self insert completely, but she had qualities of mine. Like not being able to smell, being allergic to soap, the bullying I had at school, my GFs bi-polar relationship with me to name a few.
This was drawn for one of my old fan fiction I had written at the time. I miss those days and I miss talking to Stinkie’s Voice Actor, “Joe Alaskey” over Facebook and Twitter. We were good friends. He was very supportive and such a fun guy. May he rest in peace and continue to make people laugh and smile with his work.
