It's sketchy comic time again! You might wanna full view some of these (especially the first one) because they're small/have a lot of panels. Anyways, here we go! I hope you like to read! 😅
First up at the very tippy top is a rough sketchy comic that was inspired by a random meme I saw somewhere. I instantly wanted to make it into a doger comic after seeing the dialogue. 😆
Next are a few more scenes from my fan fiction. All I'm gonna say is they find a spooky cabin and get stuck in the cellar with a shadow figure. OoOo.. never too early for Halloween, am I right?? 🎃 But yeah. Remember the sketch of Doug on Roger's shoulders reaching up for something? That would be the scene right before this one. Here, have a teeny tiny little snippet from the story to go with this:
*************************
Perhaps time seemed to move slower because of the eerie environment he was trapped in but Roger was starting to think something had happened or.. or maybe Doug bolted on him? No. Doug was too kind hearted for that. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he heard a voice whisper in the dark. It was very faint; unintelligible but spoke in almost a growl, planting seeds of doubt in his mind.
"H-Hey Funnie..?" Roger called up, hugging himself a bit tighter. "Ya wanna hurry it up?" He waited for a beat then, after hearing another snarl, "DOUG! GET ME OUTTA HERE!"
He fell back as a makeshift rope of curtains hit him smack in the face.
"SORRY! I had to tie these together! Grab on!" Doug yelled.

I might post the full story on archive whenever I manage to finish it. It's a bunch of silly banter, pranks, fremenies to friends type relationship building set in a wilderness/paranormal adventure. I like the challenge of trying to keep them in character while still allowing for growth. I'm not a writer by any means but I enjoy it. Plus it keeps me sketching, haha.
The third one in this post is an older comic (not too happy with how Doug looks in it) and perhaps it's a bit silly but oh well. In my headcanon it's Roger who develops feelings first (and just can't flipping deal with them lol) but maybe Doug would be the first to let something slip during a time of questioning/confusion. Top row is the prequel! Porkchop knows what's up. Doug is dumb.
Doug: "What am I doing??"
Porkchop: *holds up 'bi' sign*
Doug: "Porkchop, that's not how you spell 'bye'...."
Roger: "..Why the hell are you blushing?"
Doug: "I'm not! I-" *paper falls from journal, fumbles for it*
Roger: "Well, well, well. What've we got here?" *grab* "Yoink!"
Roger: "....is this some kinda joke?"
Doug: "N-no! I mean.. I just.. I'm sorry.."
Roger: "W.. well, it ain't bad but you made your nose WAY too small." *cracking a grin*
Doug: "You.. you're not mad?"
Roger: "Nah," *shoving sketch in his pocket* "But I'm keeping this!"
Another older one here. So, that picture with the popcorn that I colored? These are all the sketchy panels that go with it. Obviously they're older here. Movie night. Doug is laughing at how ironic and funny it is that he ended up with the guy who used to make his life a living hell. I'm one of those fans that feels like Roger picks on Doug so much because he wants his attention and doesn't know how to deal with his feelings. Here they're older and in a better place so I imagine he feels bad about being such a jerk.
Whoops, one more. I apologize if you need a kleenex. In "Doug's Fat Cat" the scene where Roger breaks down always gets to me. "What happened, Funnie? Where's my cat?" As an animal lover who's been through heartbreak that hit me in the feels. So, because I felt like being sad (and making you all sad) here's a little comic that can be viewed as an alternative ending to that ep (what if there were complications?) OR as something unrelated that happens later. Whatever you choose please know it has a happy ending because Stinky wakes up in that last panel. Jeez, I'm not THAT mean!
