Any headcanons for The Beets being cool big brothers/big sister mentors for Doug? I'd like to think they end up hearing "Bangin On A Trashcan" and are impressed by Doug's songwriting skills. I feel like Munroe could definitely relate to Doug's anxiety [as the Curse Of Beetenkauman reveals Munroe has anxiety himself]. I feel like The Beets would be frustrated by how harsh Mr. Bone can get [the entire Mayor For A Day scenario, and the fact that DOUG was the one who had to compromise with Mr. Bone to even have The Beets preform at the school to begin with in Doug Meets Robobone], and while I do see them definitely getting along with Doug's parents [as Doug's dad was revealed in the Disney version to be part of a band that inspired The Beets], I think The Beets would be concerned over them apparently ignoring and/or downplaying some of Doug's daydreams [granted, not all of them happened in front of Phill and Theda, but they should still be taking the daydreams more seriously as Doug often either gets carried away, nearly gets hurt, or causes himself to panic]. While I still don't like the Disney version, and while I dislike everything else about the Doug's Concert Crisis episode, I do genuinely enjoy Flounder's interactions with Doug.

-All of the Beets have taken Doug under their wing as an apprentice of sorts. They've mainly been teaching him how to compose music using each of their instruments. They're already insanely impressed with his songwriting skills so they've also been teaching him how to get inspired when something catches his eye.

-Munroe makes sure that Doug can go to him whenever the kid has one of his anxiety flare ups. He always knows how to calm Doug down and make sure he's thinking straight.

-Flounder is VERY creatively minded so he's always down to listen to Doug when he's having one of his ideas. He's even added some of his own contributions to some of Doug's comics about Quailman.

-Wendy is the most teasing and playful towards Doug. She will often joke around with him but also knows when to give him space when he's going through a hard day.

-Chap is the chillest member of the Beets but he's surprisingly the most conversational. He genuinely likes talking to Doug as the kid always has something new and innovative to add to the conversation. He's genuinely encouraged Doug to open up more about what he has to share with the world.

How do The Beets interact with the other characters in Doug? They'd likely have a fun and cute big brothers/big sister dynamic with Doug and Skeeter [which was one of the few things I liked about the Disney version: Flounder being a big brother mentor figure for Doug. Unfortunately, Disney also did some really gross things with him, including making him date Judy in the Doug's Concert Crisis episode. It's one of the biggest reasons I either retcon the Disney version of Doug out of existence, or have it be a show the Doug cast were acting in and aren't fond of the changes], and I think they'd get along great with MOST of the parents. Skeeter's dad's anger issues and Bill Bluff's greed might annoy them though. And given how harsh he can be [as well as the fact that in the Doug Meets RoboBone concert he straight up cancelled one of their concerts because he didn't like their music], I don't think Mr. Bone and The Beets would get along at all.

The Beets generally get along well with most of the cast of Doug. They especially get on really well with the kids, even Beebe Bluff. As for the adults, they get on fine with them but aren’t as close due to some of the adults not really liking their music like you said. They DEFINITELY do not get along with Mr Bone due to his general demeanor towards their music. Though they also have a hard time getting along with Marlene LaFlamme due to her strictness and perfectionism.

the greatest realization I have ever had is that Doug still has a fan base. i was today years old when I realized that. I have waited half a decade.

Any headcanons for how the Doug cast interact with other Nicktoons? I can see Doug's parents not liking the Turner parents [Fairly Oddparents] or the Loud Parents [The Loud House] for obvious reasons, and I can see Doug getting along well with Arnold from Hey Arnold.

Sure!

-Because Doug and his castmates are more down to earth and grounded, they have trouble getting along with some of the more....off the wall Toons like Ren and Stimpy, Fanboy and Chum Chum, and the Breadwinners cast.

-Doug considers Ickis (from AHH! Real Monsters) to be one of his best friends. It helps that both have similar shy and daydreamer tendencies.

-Patti REALLY gets along well with Ginger, considering Ginger to be one of her best friends. Meanwhile Roger gets along well with Dagget and Norbert from Angry Beavers.

-Skeeter gets on well with some of the more obscure Nicktoons, like the X's and Robot from Robot and Monster. He's generally interested in the more obscure Nicktoons as a whole and often goes out of his way to interact with them.

-Doug is a go-to guardian for the Rugrats whenever they're in their "baby forms" (they switch between their baby forms and their teen forms depending on what mood they're in for the day. They do this constantly). The Rugrats absolutely ADORE Doug because he tells some of the best stories. They often ask him to include them in his tales of Quailman.

Any headcanons for the cast of Doug and how they feel about being split between Nickelodeon and Disney? I can see some characters [such as The Beets, and ESPECIALLY Roger, considering Disney's version made him rich and got rid of his more interesting and sympathetic traits] being a bit resentful of how Disney portrayed them. I feel Doug, Patti, Skeeter, and Chalky would be good friends with the other Nicktoon and Disney kids. I can also see The Beets getting along well with almost every other cartoon and puppet show bands, maybe with a bit of friendly rivalry.

Yeah, I gotcha! Once again, I'm sorry these took so long.

-Because of how often he wrote in his journal, Doug is honestly considering becoming a writer. Not just any writer...a writer of nonfiction books detailing the lives of people he knows.

-Patti generally prefers to wear polka dots, zigzags, and other patterns not considered "fashionable." Not just shirts...skirts and socks as well. Even shoes if she can get her hands on it!

-Roger is a BIG fan of Elvis Presley! Honestly, he's really into 50s' music and the 50s' aesthetic in general.

-While grateful Disney picked up their show after Nickelodeon decided not to renew it, feelings overall tend to be...mixed, leaning on negative. Doug and ESPECIALLY Roger did not like the changes while Patti did her best to more accepting of them.

-Doug and Patti have a hard time getting along with the Recess Kids, specifically T.J. This is because T.J has often tried to drag Doug and Patti into his schemes unwillingly and Doug and Patti don't exactly stand for that. Roger, on the other hand, REALLY likes T.J and is perfectly willing to go along with him.
