Harry + ashton = the only stirwin ship I care about

I HATE thinking about Gashton/Stirwin tbh bc if they arent dating but r just close friends who go out together nd are kinda couply but dont feel that way then people will be so mean to her and say shes leading him on blahblah and itll be awful u know? nd if they ARE dating all of these rude fans will send her more hate then she alrdyprobably gets and I just rlly dont want the boys to see that side of the fandom come out? I will support ash and the band no matter but I just wish everyone would

The thing upsetting me the most is that it’s the mainly the twitter side of the fandom that comes out when things like this are rumoured. And of course not all of the fandom on twitter is bad, but there’s a lot more fans than members of the fam there. It’s much easier to focus on a few shitty tweets coming at you than however many positive ones that they’re getting. I just don’t people to be hating on them because soon it’ll be like the 1d fandom where all it ever is is drama after drama and there’s no sense of unity anymore :(

Exactly. And that alone can ruin a relationship. Like Louis and Harry: just friends but then some over aggressive shippers butt their way into something that has nothing to do with them.

I’m not saying that shipping some people together is wrong, I just feel that when people begin to push and harass the two people involved into getting the answers that they want, that’s when they’re crossing boundaries.

I honestly think that they aren't official but kind of in that friend getting-to-know-each-other stage before dating like a lot of people think people just jump into dating straight away but most take time to kind of figure each other out and like maybe that's what they are doing atm and I feel like Gem is being careful rn because her and Harry are so close and he has probably vented to her about all of the hate his friends (girls) get so shes probs being a bit cautious yanno

Just because they’re hanging out doesn’t mean they’re dating. We won’t know for sure until one of them says anything about it. From what I’ve seen they look like they’re just friends but there’s a little bit of flirting going on (more so on Ashton’s end). I think people just need to let them live their lives and not try to force them to say anything about it. They would let us know when the time came.

Yeah, agreed on Gemma and Ashton. I think there's something there but they ( especially Gemma ) is being very careful because she already has her brother being on a different part of the world like 90% of the time so she knows how difficult it is and to have someone else so close always being so far must be unbearable and has seen the disgusting amount of hate any girl just near Harry gets and what damage it can do.

Yeah it must be extremely hard to have someone so close to you so far away all the time. To also have a boyfriend away more than half the time would suck. And I wouldn’t blame either of them not wanting to come out with it because they both know what they’re doing and know the effects the public eye can have on a relationship. 

The only opinion that people have about Stirwin that I will fight about is that people think that they aren’t saying they’re together because Harry forbids it? Like come on. Gemma is a smart, independent girl and you can totally see that in her relationship with Harry, she holds the power, regardless of his rockstar status. I doubt Harry’s opinion would change her mind about what she really wanted to do or who she wanted to date.

I’m just gonna say that I don’t necessarily see Gemma and Ash being together very long (or at all for that matter) because their personalities seem a bit too different? I don’t know them personally so of course my opinion doesn’t really mean anything though, I guess.

Well I think she’s a smart girl and knows that with 5sos’ growing popularity that a) it wouldn’t be good for one of them to be tied down at this point in their career and b) she’d be open to a lot of hate if they just came out with it.

I totally get the vibe that’s she’s trying to keep him at arms distance but we all know that’s not working out so well.
