i opened a restaurant with some mates last week
It was a typical Saturday night and I decided to drop by at High Street last night to check out this cafe and to experience what people are buzzing about. I was welcomed by warm smiles from the folks and walked me to an available spot. I was recommended with the most popular choice from the menu; chicken, mushroom, spinach crepe w/ avocado, seconded with choco churros and my long black on the side. My stomach was filled with the perfect mix of sweets and savory taste on my crepe. My natural weakness with everything sweet was activated. My passion towards coffee and how I liked it strong and black was given justice from the very first sip. Overall, food is superb! But I reckon that my St. Louis experience was made memorable when I witnessed how the staff managed their customer traffic; from the welcome greeting to order taking, waiting the table and keeping the area clean, everything remained consistent. I even saw the owner put his apron on and talked to customers personally to set expectations on how soon (or long) they would wait for the next available table. I think that was outstanding. 💯 The team looks simple but they move gracefully. They adjust their body language and energy based on what is required by the situation without compromising the quality. Efficiency, accuracy, and pleasantries. I don’t know when I’d be able to drop by again but I will surely look forward to another store experience. 🙂 PS: I left the store with a smile on my face and a cup of mint and dark chocolate gelato to cap off my amazing St. Louis experience.
