The image of Saint Luke the Evangelist is so popular and widespread that it is hard to impress someone with icons depicting one of the Four Evangelists. Today, you have a chance to look at one more remarkable Orthodox Russian icon painted in the 18th century. It is made with tempera on wood and now is held in the private collection in the Netherlands.
