today's doodles are my fursona stodge
Junger Herr mit Sahnehut voll Pampe (Young Man With a Cream Hat Full of Stodge), 1986 by J.G.Wind
In “The Kid” the tramp prepares a meal for the boy, the looks of it brings up the question, What is it?.
From what I have been able to find - called stodge, a British word for a heavy meal, filled mostly with starch, such as potatoes, rice, sometimes vegetable scraps and if lucky meat scraps from the butcher.
Though a heavy meal, many times lacked necessary nutrients and vitamins, but intention was to stave off hunger, make you feel full.
