On the reparenting of Stolas
Stolas is extraordinary intelligent, passionate ( often to a fault ) and has a very regal bearing
But Pre Reset Stolas is often high strung, manipulative, ruthless to enemies, extraodinarily vengeful, and basically a prison of vengeance
New Stolas finally drops the act and becomes gentler, kinder and wiser
He is essentially reparented into the new world by the Saints, IMP and the Hotel Crew
Because his old upbringing didnt even prepare him for the New World
But the staff who knew Via is the true heir to the New World helped Via prepare for it
And Via ends up being more equipped to rule the new world than Stolas is
For centuries the Goetias had visions of the ' Accursed Star ', one that will risk total annihilation of the 7 rings
They always thought it was going to be the DiGalaxis, or some other malvolent glitch in the matrix
And it took the Imp Revolution to FINALLY realize the truth of the prophecy that they feared
And that is when they finally dropped their crowns to save Stolas
And Stolas...is the last to figure out
He was once his own worst enemy
And rehab helped him become his own best friend
The other Goetias willingly dropped their crowns and pass the skies back to Heaven to save Stolas
It took Stolas to have a near world ending melt down and nature itself evicting him and deleting his old DNA, for him to finally let go of the skies that are crumbling him before he collapsed to a 3 week coma
There's a reason why the other Goetias passed Stolas and Via to the hotel
They eventually realized that the Hotel can take care of those 2 sensitive souls better than the old Goetia court canWhile Via and her cousins became true leaders of the new world
Their elders finally step back and focus on healing
The entire saga of the Ars Goetia divorce feud is a tragic cycle of generational trauma, vengeance, and brutality
It nearly ended the world
And it was the Imp Revolutionaries, Via and her cousins, Heaven and finally, Amethyst herself, that pulled a plug on it
The only way for the Goetias to defeat the DiGalaxis is to drop their crowns
And it took Stolas going into mad phase for the rest to finally realize what everyone has been trying to beg them to do - Let. The Skies. Go
When the Saints finally took the Moons, the skies are finally in balance
The weather cycles finally in place, harvest finally becomes more abundant, Hell's economy ( which crashed due to how bad the feud is ) is finally repaired, everyone else in Hell gets free therapy to heal from the generational trauma caused by the feud
And Stolas gets a hard drive reset
Without the crown or the Moons, Stolas is finally, truly happy
In truth, Stolas never needed the Moons. He only needs his truth
Old Stolas hated ANYBODY associated with Stella. He didnt care what background and context it is
But Via personally get to the ground level to empathize and get in touch with others....and bringing in new friends for Stolas so that he wouldn't be so lonely when he was juggling his old duties
Thats also why the people love Via so much
They already crowned her as their new Queen of the people even before the Great Reset happened
Via has a special empathy that Stolas suppressed long time ago
Deep down, Via eventually knew the truth - she was just confused by all the manipulation and skulduggery around her
And that is why she joined to help her cousins to discover the whole truth
And the files helped vindicate every suspicion she had
She also quietly supported the hotel because she knew it will be the one place where Stolas finally has a safe house he deservesAnd it was actually through Blitz's wild web of connections and Via's quiet web of support that Stolas finally has real friends outside of royal circles
Even Stolas' royal posse, as much as they like and respect him, are often terrified of him
Yet they still stood by him till the endVia and her cousins are lucky that they got the influence from the Orsinis and Schiaparellis, and that is why they turn out more ' Holy ' than their elders
They all have a copy of the Bible eachStolas has a file of the Enemy List - all filled with anyone associated with Stella in some form, with Stella on top of the list, signed in blood
No wonder IMP burned down his ' Burn Book ' and the Hotel crew helped reassamble his ' Friend List '
He nearly died because of hate
And he is rescued by the light of love and grace

Can we talk about the chilling irony? For centuries, the Ars Goetia studied the stars looking for the enemy that would end the world. They thought it was the DiGalaxis. They thought it was a cosmic glitch.
It was Stolas. His vengeance, his "Burn Book" signed in blood, and his absolute refusal to let go of the skies nearly burned the 7 Rings to ash. The "Accursed Star" wasn't a meteor; it was a mental breakdown of a god-tier royal.

The moment the Goetia elders (Vassago, Ipos, and the rest) dropped their crowns into the abyss just to save their brother? That’s the real revolution. They realized the throne was the poison. The Saints taking the Moons isn't "theft"—it's an eviction notice for a house that was already on fire.

Stolas’ old "Enemy List" was the most unhinged thing I’ve ever seen, and I grew up in the mob. The Hotel crew burning that book and replacing it with a "Friend List" is the only reason Hell didn't stay a wasteland. You can't run a world on pure spite. Trust me, I tried.

My children finally chose their brother over their power. It took my Stolas going into a three-week coma and nature itself deleting his DNA for the Goetias to realize that the 'Skies' were just a gilded cage. Watching the Saints wash the soot from his feathers was the first time I’ve felt peace in an eon.

As the ones who had to perform for the "Old Stolas," we can confirm: the "Regal Bearing" was a mask for a man who was a prison of his own vengeance. Seeing him now, learning to plant seeds with a green thumb instead of casting world-ending spells, is the healing the 7 Rings needed. Hell’s economy isn't just recovering; its heart is beating again.

The Top Thread: "The Anatomy of a Reset"
1/10 The tragedy of the Goetia feud wasn't just the war; it was the generational trauma.
2/10 Stolas was hyper-intelligent but socially illiterate. He was raised for a world that didn't exist anymore.
3/10 While he was busy obsessing over Stella’s associates, Via was on the ground. She was getting to know the imps, the sinners, and the common folk.
4/10 Via didn't just inherit a title; she earned a people. That’s why she’s the Queen of the New World. She has that Schiaparelli/Orsini "Holy" empathy.
5/10 The "Great Reset" had to happen. Stolas’ old magic was toxic. It was literally crumbling him.
6/10 When nature "evicted" him, it was a mercy. He didn't lose his magic; he was freed from it.
7/10 The Imp Revolution didn't overthrow the royals—they saved them from themselves.
8/10 Now, Stolas has a "Friend List" and a husband who loves him for being a dork, not a Prince.
9/10 The Accursed Star has finally set. The Sun is coming up. #HellaverseSeason4
The air in the Hazbin Hotel’s private lounge was thick with the scent of lavender and ozone. Stolas sat on a plush, oversized armchair, looking smaller than he had in centuries. His long, elegant limbs were tucked inward, and his hands—once capable of tearing holes in the fabric of reality—now trembled slightly as they held a cup of chamomile tea.
The "claws" were gone. In their place were soft, manicured fingers, a physical manifestation of the Schiaparelli-blunting ritual. Across from him sat Charlie Morningstar, Vaggie, Angel Dust, and Blitzø, who was uncharacteristically quiet, his hand resting firmly on Stolas’ knee.
Charlie leaned forward, her eyes shimmering with that trademark empathy. "Stolas," she began softly, "We need to talk about the Accursed Star. We need to talk about why you almost didn't wake up."
Stolas looked away, his voice a brittle whisper. "I had to win, Charlie. The DiGalaxis... the insults to the Goetia name... Stella’s constant shadow. I had to be the Prince they expected. I had to be ruthless."
"But that’s the thing, feathers," Angel Dust cut in, his tone devoid of its usual snark. "You aren't built for that. I know a 'prison of vengeance' when I see one. I grew up with the Tarantellas—I know what it looks like when someone is trying to be a monster because they think it’s the only way to stay safe."
Vaggie nodded, crossing her arms but keeping her expression soft. "Stolas, you were trying to lead a planetary-level war with the soul of a poet. Your old DNA wasn't just 'deleted' by nature; it was rejected. Your body literally couldn't house that much hate anymore. You were trying to be a Borgia when you're actually a gardener."
The Breaking of the "Regal Act"
Stolas let out a shaky breath, a single tear tracking through his feathers. "My upbringing... my father... they taught us that the sky was a burden we had to carry. If we dropped it, we were nothing."
"And look at the sky now," Blitzø finally spoke up, his voice gravelly but tender. "The Saints took the Moons. The weather is actually... normal for once. The harvests are coming back. The world didn't end because you stopped being a 'Regal Badass.' It started living again because you finally took a nap."
Charlie stood up and walked over, kneeling by Stolas' chair.
"Stolas, you have a Schiaparelli heart. You are passionate, intelligent, and regal—yes. But you are too sensitive for the brutality you were practicing. You weren't fighting the DiGalaxis; you were fighting your own nature. You nearly died of hate because your soul is made of light and grace."
From "Burn Book" to "Friend List"
Charlie reached into her bag and pulled out a charred, leather-bound scrap—the remains of his old Burn Book.
"IMP did a good thing burning this," she said. "The Vengeance King is dead, Stolas. He died in that three-week coma."
She then handed him a new, beautifully bound journal. On the cover, in elegant gold leaf, it read: The Circle of Grace.
• First Page: Octavia (The Bridge to the New World)
• Second Page: The IMP Team (My Revolutionaries)
• Third Page: The Hotel Crew (My Safe House)
• Fourth Page: Vassago & Ipos (My Brothers, My Spies, My Family)
"This is your 'Friend List,'" Charlie whispered. "Via didn't wait for the Reset to love you, Stolas. She was building this list for you while you were lost in the stars. She knew you were sensitive. She knew you needed a safe place to land."
Stolas traced the name Octavia with his thumb. For the first time in his life, his magic didn't spark with purple fire. Instead, a small, green sprout curled out from the arm of his chair, blooming into a white jasmine flower.
"I don't have to be the Star anymore?" Stolas asked, his voice finally steady.
"No," Blitzø grinned, pulling him into a hug. "You just have to be the guy who grows the flowers. We’ll handle the rest."
To love a dragon is both a beautiful and terrifying thing
Dragons are ancient, primordial, seen empires rise and fall, hold vast celestial powers, love jewelry, and are feared and respected by many for centuries
The Schiaparellis can look into the eyes of Goetias and not blink
The Hamephorash and the Saints are the only 2 contigents that can subdue the dragons of Hell
And centuries later, IMP looked at Stolas dead in the eyes and saved the man underneath the flaming dragon scales
It took the Imp Revolution and Stolas' cosmic level extinction burst for the Goetias to finally realize what everyone else eventually caught on - Stolas is never meant to be a warrior and was trapped into a war he was never meant to be in
That was enough for the Goetias to finally give up their crowns and hand the skies back to Heaven, all to save Stolas
Via refused to be a warrior and opted to be a healer instead as a trauma response because she has personally seen her own father nearly die of deep vengeance.
Stolas' old lunar powers are a system error, his Green Thumb powers are the true correction
Stella is a cosmic glitch. Blitz and Via are cosmic corrections.
When Heaven finally subdued the dragons, the relief was universal

Can we talk about the sheer balls of the Schiaparellis? Most demons melt into a puddle when a Goetia enters the room, but the Schiaparellis treat them like eccentric cousins. It’s that surrealist goth energy. They’ve seen the stars fall; why would they be scared of a bird-dragon with a grudge?

People keep asking why IMP wasn't terrified during Stolas’ "Extinction Burst." It’s simple: they didn't see a planet-killing dragon. They saw a man drowning in his own scales. It takes a special kind of bravery to look at a cosmic disaster and say, "Hey, you’re acting like a dick because you’re sad. Let’s get you a salad."

The Hamephorash and the Saints are the only ones who can actually subdue the Goetia dragons, but they didn't use swords. They used balance. When Mother Mary and the Saints took the Moons, it wasn't a conquest—it was a mercy. They were taking the weight off Stolas' back so his DNA could finally "reboot" from a system error to a green thumb correction.

Thread: The "Cosmic Correction" of Season 4. 🧵
1/5 Stella was a "Glitch." A cold, calculated error in the matrix of Hell.
2/5 Stolas was the "Accursed Star," a dragon trapped in a warrior’s role he was never meant for.
3/5 Blitz and Via are the "Corrections." Blitz gave Stolas a reason to be a person instead of a Prince; Via gave the Goetias a reason to drop their crowns.
4/5 The moment the other Goetia siblings handed the skies back to Heaven? That was the ultimate win. They traded their divinity for their brother’s life.

The Top Comment on the "Dragon-Taming" Video Essay:
"The most chilling scene in the finale wasn't the war; it was the silence after. Seeing Stolas, this ancient dragon, finally let the fire go and just... exist. The Schiaparellis knew it, the Saints knew it, and eventually, even the Goetia elders realized it: To love a dragon is to help it stop being a monster. The 'Extinction Burst' was just Stolas’ soul trying to scream its way out of a suit of armor that was too tight. Via becoming a healer as a trauma response is the most 'Holy' thing to happen to Hell in a millennium. She saw the dragon bleed and decided she’d rather be a nurse than a knight."
Dragons are like big flying cats, and they can bend and breathe fire
But Stolas' old magic becomes too far gone
While the other Goetias got their old magic repaired and repurposed, Stolas goes through a hard reboot, as the Saints and Hamephorash spent weeks designing a new Green Thumb magic that is better suited for him
Stolas was so loud in his grief that he has no idea that the world is resetting as a better place for him until he nearly died
He regretted EVERYTHING that he has done in the feud - how his vengeance and hate terrorized Hell for 100 plus years since Stella raped him on that wedding night
Stolas has abused Stella more than she abused him - Stolas' hatred for Stella is so extreme that it took thousands to stop him from committing genocide on her line.
It took Heavenly grace to finally pull him from the brink

"There’s something so profoundly sad about a man who is rescued by a world he thought hated him.
Stolas spent a century thinking he had to protect his line, protect the Goetia name, and destroy everyone associated with Stella. He signed names in blood because he thought that was 'healing.'

He was so high-strung and manipulative because he was terrified. But his 'Extinction Burst' showed that his hate was more dangerous than Stella’s malice.
Blitzø is the true hero because he looked at a planet-killing dragon and saw a 'sweet child' who just needed to be held. He didn't slay the dragon; he loved the dragon back into a bird.
