RADICALISM 👏 OF ANY FORM 👏 IS 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 BAD 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I hate myself so fucking much.
What I need people to understand about depression is it is not beautiful.
It is dark and it is vicious and it is deadly.
Things we need to stop glorifying: Smoking Being heart broken Not eating enough Lack of sleep and surviving on coffee
Imagine you're in a closed box that keeps getting smaller. Or that feeling when you want to talk to someone you love, but are too scared to do so out of fear they will reject you. That moment when everything is going alright and suddenly everything falls. That's what anxiety is like. It isn't beautiful. It breaks your heart over and over again daily. It feels like you're being hit by a truck nonstop. Anxiety isn't a joke, nor something to pretend you have. Stop glorifying anxiety.
57%
57% of african-american/black women are "obese" by the standard definition. how? i understand the socioeconomic reasons/cultural reasons. yes, i understand that the term "obese" was coined by white male researchers. which has little bearing on how african-american/black women have a tendency to carry weight in different areas of their/our bodies. i'm referring to excess fat. not muscle, nor general size, and of course not only black women. do what you want, but i'm not making exceptions for you. no, you can't take two airline seats and not pay for both. yes, your knees/back hurt from carrying around unnecessary weight. no, your bones are not more durable than an average persons, that's why you're in pain. why make exceptions for those that choose not to take care of themselves?
there is no such thing as a beautiful struggle. The person going through it is beautiful....but the struggle itself is not.
