Since last year, I feel as if I have become a mosaic, shattered in pieces. By the end of the year, with great struggle, I have started and continue to put myself back together in small fragments. Some of the fragments I will never find again.

They disappeared forever along with murdered Ukrainian soldiers, volunteers, tortured civilians, slaughtered animals and birds, dead trees, fields trampled by the russian boot, mined seas, unborn children and all those who were forced to leave Ukraine and have not been able to return home so far.

One year ago russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Endless 24 February.

Now a year later, I can hardly imagine how we managed to survive the whole year and continue to stay strong.

Especially the worst first months of the war, when there was absolutely no clarity at all, the abundance of fakes generated with monstrous speed by russian propaganda, the fear, anger and inability to realise that all this horror was really happening.

Our struggle and resistance continues. Until the victory of Ukraine. There is no other way. But I understand that even after our victory, February 2022, will remain with us forever.

I took this photo in the spring of '22 from my balcony - another russian missile fell nearby - a common sight at the time.

Eternal memory to the fallen defenders, heartfelt gratitude to all those who help and support us, glory and victory to Ukraine!

I Stand with Ukraine

I stand with Ukraine. Everytime I watch the news, there is more horror, more destruction, more innocent lives lost. When will the world stand up to Putin?

With this artwork, I tried to put down raw emotion in response to the genocide that is happening in Ukraine right now. The sunflower symbolizes Ukraine- I leave the rest up to you to interpret.

I hope the world finds the courage to stand up to Putin and save Ukraine from annihilation.
