It was time for dinner at the Tower. Most Thursdays, the team gathers in the communal kitchen to discuss what the take out options were and vote before ordering.
So imagine the surprise of part of the team to walk into the kitchen to find Bucky and Peter standing side by side cooking over a hot stove. There were 2 large plates on the countertop and one average sized one as well.
Peter turned to scoop out what appeared to be homemade mashed potatoes from the giant pot he was holding. Two large portions on the big plates and just two small scoops of potatoes on the smaller one. Then it was Bucky's turn to scoop out some cabbage looking thing, four each on the big plates and just 2 on the smaller one.
" Whats this? I thought we were doing takeout?" Said Tony.
Peter looks up and smiles brightly.
" Hey, Mr. Stark! We made.. G..Gol..uhh" he looks over at Bucky, who smirks back at him.
" Golubtsy"
" Yeah, that! Basically, stuff cabbage and made some smashed potatoes too for Tasha. They are her favorite"
Steve and Tony look at each other before looking over at Clint. He nods his head.
" Yeah, that's true."
"So what's the special occasion? I don't think it's her birthday."
Peter picked up the three plates after he picked up some silverware and put it in his back pocket. Bucky moves the extra pots and glass dishes of excess food back onto the cooling stove top.
" It's National Girlfriend Day! So homemade meal and gifts!"
And with that, Peter walks the food he was carrying out onto the balcony. Out there was a small table set up with a candle lit in the middle. Natasha was sitting sipping on some vodka, as Peter placed the food down on the table and went about placing napkins and silverware down.
Bucky smirks at the others. " Yeah. There are holidays for everything nowadays."
He goes to pick up a small bouquet of flowers that they hadn't noticed from the coffee table. As well as two small badly wrapped gifts. Before he, he too goes outside to join Natasha and Peter.
Now, the team KNOWS that Bucky and Natasha had a thing going on. It was never really said or spoken about. So they are happy that this is them announcing that they are official. But why is Peter helping and joining?
They watch them for a moment and see that Natasha is sitting in the middle. Laughing. Actually laughing as Peter makes a napkin disappear, and it reappeared with a trick of his hand when he waves it by Natashas' ear. A magic trick he learned from Scott a few weeks ago.
Bucky offers her the flowers and gifts, leaning down to kiss her on the cheek and a quick peck on the lips. Which Natasha returns, but then she surprises them by turning to kiss Peter on the cheek and lips as well. Then, they are shocked when Bucky reaches across the table and pulls Peter up by the collar of his shirt, and shares a deep kiss with him. Peter just blushes and sits back down as Natasha and Bucky just smirk over at Peter.
Huh.
