art is no longer about the creation but rather the process; sharing the products of your hands is no longer enough— now you have to share how you did it, film every aspect of your process and make it pretty; people don’t care about the art— they care about how entertaining it is to watch you create it; hobbies are no longer your own to enjoy and share the results, now you must entertain— you have to make everything content— you no longer have the freedom of a creative process, the process is now other’s entertainment and I hate it

One of the biggest lies social media has created is that everyone cares what you do. In a sense, yeah, society as a whole cares morally what you do. But individually? Hobbies? Day to day? Creative outlets? No one cares. Same in public. You almost tripped? You need to throw something away? You fumbled your words? No one cares. Believe me, they’re all worried about so much more than you. Social media isn’t real. No one’s analyzing your behavior. Live. Don’t preform.

There is an inherent difference between “look, I create and I made this thing I really like” and “look, look, I create so that I can show you that I create and look at me creating because I create- please be impressed I create and tell me how cool it is that I create bc did you see that I create!!”

My heart is aching to make some Christian like fairytale stories for my favorite ships, but the issue is most hetero ships don’t get much recognition in the fandom I am in and most of them are heathens smh 😭 sucks being a writer sometimes, how does one cope with this !? — 🦐
