I saw something I didn't like in Archive of Our Own today.
So I was reading a really good story and did a review. But then I saw the other comments. There was now an account that posted those nice words but then added the offer to make art for the writer (most likely for a price).
I know digital creators or other artists are looking for work. But honestly, it's the turnoff I found in fanfiction.net. Because many reviewed only for the sake of it.
Writers can't say if their reviews are genuine at all. It may as well be a new kind of trolling. As a writer, it was really disappointing to receive those reviews/comments in ff.net. Why? Because you need just look, and sometimes, there are those comments even on already deleted stories.
Can we stop those pls? If you wanna review, review. Or message the writer in other means if you wanna make offers. But don't use their stories to post your offers. Stop trolling. It's rude.
Perhaps other readers/writers feel differently. As for me, it really just became a pet peeve to me in ff.net. I even deleted practically ALL of my stories there because such messages filled my inbox. And surprise, surprise, reviews with similar intentions still keep coming in. Is it AI work or just trolls? Who knows? But it is a hindrance and causes hurt and offense. It may as well be a taboo in the writing world for me.
THINGS WE CAN ALL SAY WE KNOW ABOUT CHRIS… HE’S TAKING A BREAK FROM SOCIAL MEDIA! FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS STOP TROLLING!!
oh boohoo someone stans a character you hate, how toxic. get fucked heaux <3.
Aw, what a lovely message to receive on a Sunday morning, I appreciate it.
So, much like how you clearly watch the movies you pick and choose what to read from my posts to fit your narrow narrative... Good for you, you're so much smarter than everyone else.
I swear I am beginning to sound like a broken record... I have time and time again stated that I do not hate Anakin, in fact I love Anakin - he's an amazing character and was at one time an amazing Jedi.
It is very possible to appreciate and love someone while disagreeing with their choices and actions. If let's say I had a child who committed a hate crime I would still in my heart love my child while hating what they did, it is possible to feel more than one thing about people/things at a time - I know that is difficult for some.
Whenever I refer to someone as "toxic" with regards to fandom it's not about who they like and don't like - I could care less if you like or don't like the Jedi, you do you. That's the beauty of Star Wars is that people can connect to various different characters. No, what makes someone toxic is when they purposely target someone and tear them down out of the blue just for their preferences - doing it anonymously is even better.
You can stan whoever you want, I really don't care and you shouldn't care who I "stan" either. You also can stan a character and not agree with what they do 100% of the time - I love my man Obi-Wan, but he probably should've included Anakin in his fake death plan (I understand why he didn't though, I just don't agree with it).
But, it doesn't really matter what I say, you don't really care.

No one plays Among Us right and it makes me mad 😾
Cause yea a senior writer for Variety Fair is totally gonna tell some random ass fan spoilers from TLJ, even though she a fucking professional and is under a media embargo. Also the spoilers are what that fan wanted..... it’s not like you can fake dms right
By the way, thank you. SW is a very big and intimidating universe. I have a few ideas that I don't know how to work with - Force Sensitives who are scared of their abilities or view them as a curse. And so? Hit the Jedi positive tags so that I can convince my scared, confused, and grieving Sensitives to make peace with their abilities. BTW, you know about the SW Fanfic Discord?
Hello there!
I am afraid you might've misunderstood me in that previous discussion. I am 100% Jedi positive. I don't agree with your interpretation of the Order or their code.
I do think your concept of Force sensitives feeling that their gifts are a curse is super interesting, but in my version I would have them get help from the Jedi.
I appreciate the invite to the SW Discord, but if it's mostly anti-Jedi then I'll pass, thank you.
I am always here to chat about Star Wars, but got no room in my life for Jedi bashing - sorry.
