The word "transtrender" is vile, deplorable, wholly unnecessary, and altogether divisive. It does nothing but pit the trans* community against each other. Gender police on all sides do nothing but cause shame, fear, and anxiety for those who are genuinely confused and/or insecure about their identity. It's cruel. Furthermore, it's an ignorant word as it equates transgender to transsexualism - the former being an umbrella term for all nonconforming folks. Therefore the argument that those who do not experience crippling gender dysphoria are somehow faking being transgender is in itself false; not all gender nonconforming individuals will experience dysphoria. In fact, many won't. As a genderqueer transmasculine person I can assure you that those trans* individuals who question other people's trans* status have brought me more pain and confusion than those who are accepting and embracing of ALL genders and sexes, not just those who are easily put in boxes. I am not easily boxed. I will not be boxed. To be dismissed simply because of this fact is madness. Cut that shit out, gender police. TL;DR? Those who perpetuate the harmful use of the word transtrender are harming the trans* community. Please stop. Now.
