You're welcome! It helps that my girlfriend worked in HR at Target and handled the applications. :-) She says open availability is number one that they look for. Also, be specific when listing experience. When they're desperate for workers, they're ok with vague but if they aren't then they want specifics. Try to say "guest" instead of customer as well. They eat that shit up. Any volunteer work also helps since Target is known for being community driven and volunteer oriented. It's ok if you don't have these things, but they help. Good luck! I know it's hard but try to stay positive. It'll work out!

Perhaps women refer to themselves as gamer girls in an effort to distinguish themselves amongst a group (gamers) that would automatically assume they are male simply for gaming. Or, if not assumed male, they are usually taken less seriously and assumed to be lesser gamers than males, simply for being female. Is it no wonder they may seek pride and solidarity in their identity as female gamers? But why should I even respond to your instigation? That is clearly what this is. Judging by your pride in being an "anti-feminist" it is clear you have no interest in expanding your worldview or even having a civil conversation (this is also apparent by your aggressive tone in your original argument). While I graduated college this January, finding work has been difficult. My mom managed to get me a job in March, within walking distance from home, as a receptionist 3 times a week for $12/hour. This job only lasted 6 weeks.

I know, corporations are crap and they won't pay you that much, but they're almost constantly hiring, especially this time of year with fourth quarter (basically three big holidays for shopping) coming up. Is it normal to be so afraid and have so many doubts about transitioning? As someone with severe anxiety, I have a tendency to envision worst-case scenarios as the main outcome. I recognize this in myself. Unfortunately, it doesn't make this process any easier. How much less would we doubt our transitions if we no longer had to fear social stigma or familial/friend rejection? Would my fears dissipate? Could I take my T that I got yesterday and inject it in to my leg without fearing regret if my parents already knew my intent to alter my body in such a profound way? I am, quite frankly, terrified of this life and the outcome of my body and what that means for my future in general. I am afraid that I will never be comfortable with this body, no matter what I decide. I know that fear should not decide your fate, and that the only way to examine how transitioning will feel is to actually start but...this anxiety will cripple me. The stress will eat me alive. Does anyone else wrestle with these things? I can't be alone with these fears and these doubts, can I?

The * is unnecessary and has been used against nonbinary people in attempts to make us feel less comfortable in the trans community. People are made uncomfortable by the * regardless of your intent. Did you read the link I sent you? It is people's intent, not the word, that is faulty. It was originally intended to be inclusive and serve as an indication of the umbrella-like nature of the word transgender. I use it because people I know understand its origin and are most comfortable with the asterisk. It is validating for themselves and inclusive of others. I am sorry that others have taken this word and use it to harm, but that is not -unlike words like truscum, radscum, cisscum, transtrender, etc.- what the word is for. I cannot help that your identity is marginalized by others.

[Most] sociologists and psychologists would agree that gender and sex are different. Gender, for example, is the way we socially define ourselves - man/woman/neither/both etc. and oftentimes uses the masculine/feminine spectrum to determine how we determine that identity for ourselves (and, unfortunately, each other). Sex, on the other hand, is generally seen as only biological (male/female/both) despite most people defining their gender based on their sex. They are often used interchangeably even though they are in fact different things.

Therefore the argument that those who do not experience crippling gender dysphoria are somehow faking being transgender is in itself false; not all gender nonconforming individuals will experience dysphoria. In fact, many won't. As a genderqueer transmasculine person I can assure you that those trans* individuals who question other people's trans* status have brought me more pain and confusion than those who are accepting and embracing of ALL genders and sexes, not just those who are easily put in boxes. I am not easily boxed. I will not be boxed. To be dismissed simply because of this fact is madness. Cut that shit out, gender police. TL;DR?
