Kavanaugh Is The Killer

Old men place

a rapist on an

altar and expect us

HEY. Do you like games? Do you like free stuff? Do you think that confirming Judge Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court would be a disaster? COOL. I have 100+ unused Steam keys left over from various bundles, and I will send you one at random if you show me proof that you contacted your senators Oct. 3rd or 4th to ask them to vote NO on Kavanaugh.

I got these bundles from several different sites, so the quality varies from “maybe worth 50 cents” to “might be on your Steam wishlist, probably came from Humble,” and since it’s random, there’s no way to know what you’ll get. (If you can show me proof that you also convinced someone else to contact their senators as well, though, I’ll let you choose one off the list.)

PLEASE NOTE: this is about contacting YOUR senators, no matter how much you might want to call swing votes. If your senators have already committed to voting no on Kavanaugh, thank them and ask them to stand firm; if they've already committed to voting yes, call anyway and yell politely but firmly ask them to reconsider. If you happen to be represented by one of the swing-vote senators, great--your call is even more important! But if not, only call your own senators anyway.

This thread includes lots of scripts and tips for calling, all of which works just as well if you wait until after business hours and leave a voicemail so you don’t have to talk to a human. ResistBot is also a great option if you’d rather write. Just send me a direct message on Twitter or Tumblr with proof that you contacted your senators today, and I’ll send you a thrillingly random Steam key until I run out.

To all the people who are currently dodging media of all forms right now. To all the people who are reliving their worst moments and struggling with feelings of support and aggravation . As something I'm struggling with my self I encourage you to make sure you take care of you first. It's ok to set filters and take a break from social media.
