I've been organizing my craft room and looking for a good solution for storing needles & accessories. There seems to be a lot of junk available, high prices.

Settled on this 8-drawer tool chest. Overkill? Maybe. But there are small, divided drawers perfect for DPNs; and lots of space for small & long tools. I think I'll be satisfied.

I had another rubbish nights sleep and was still not feeling 100% this morning so decided not to do my long run today. Instead we had a leisurely breakfast and headed out to do some shopping. We collected Daughter on the way and shopping happened. I got a storage solution in the form of a bamboo box for my scrap fabric. I also bought some lanterns for the pergola we recently put up over the small deck. Can't wait until it gets dark tonight to see if they put out enough light. After heading home for left over pizza for lunch Hubby and I headed out for a walk. Thankfully my puku (tummy) behaved itself and we were able to enjoy a lovely walk along the beach in the summer sunshine. The highlight of our walk was Hubby flipping the stranded fish back into the sea so it could swim another day.

Hello August! Well friends, we are close to the end of summer.. We went to LA last week with my siblings and their families. Between us 4 families, there was a total 21 of us, which made everything crazier. I was in the stationery shop the other evening getting toner for the printer when I spied some draws on sale. Thread storage immediately sprung to mind. It turned out I had more thread than I thought so I just may have to go back to the stationery store for more draws.

Finally after all the housework was done I found some time to slip into my sewing room. I am building fat quarter storage boxes to store all my fat quarters and eights. Hopefully tomorrow I will find some time to sort my fabric into them and put then neatly into my stash cupboard.
