On a more serious note; Raphael, Gabriel, what were your perspectives on Lucifer's corruption and the following events?
“I know my perspective has certainly changed after millions of years,” Gabriel sighs. “We were so young when that happened. Young, inexperienced, and alone.”
“Indeed,” Raphael agrees, sitting next to his brother and letting their shoulders touch for comfort, “it was just the four of us and our Father. The universe had barely begun being created. We knew only what Father told us, and we were incredibly naive.”
“And cocky!” Gabriel laughs, but there is no joy in the sound. “Dad made us to fight His sister, so we did. And we won! Lucifer was so proud to carry the Mark. It was the highest responsibility ever given to any of us, and I thought he was brave and strong. I was so stupid.”
“We all share in that stupidity, brother,” Raphael assures. “But our failure came when we saw Lucifer’s light dimming and did nothing.”
“I remember thinking he’d let his pride get the better of him,” Gabriel whispers, “and then he was so angry all the time, and I was just confused.”
“Yes, I also remember feeling confused about the increased anger in the Morningstar. But emotions were new experiences for us. We didn’t understand anger or pride or joy--they simply existed. By the time humans came along, things were slightly different.
“Lucifer resented our Father’s newest creations with a passion, but we never questioned why.” Raphael slowly shakes his head, sadness rolling off him in waves. “Our perspective has grown over the ages. We have seen how the Mark affects its bearers. I can only hope that the knowledge has not come too late to save our lost brother.”
