despite having worked on perfecting these for weeks ( and the perk of having magic ), rayne still rises long before the sun does . . . just in case anything goes wrong. the scent of fresh baked goods wafts through the shop. along with her usual line up, she has made something special, though this is for one person and one person only.
satoru gojo was a regular and rayne was banking on him showing up at his usual time. neatly are the cookies wrapped in cute paper showcasing white kittens, then packaged in a box that she takes the time to decorate with similarly cute stickers.
the cookies are satoru ! it had taken her so long to get the shape and coloring right, but she had made them for him — a little trick when he's expecting the normal treat he orders, only to be faced with edible versions of himself.
Despite the amount of work he predictably dumped onto Ijichi and the other assistants, Gojo has been surprisingly busy with last minute preparations for Tokyo Jujutsu High's Halloween party.
This, of course, doesn't stop him from dropping by Charming Brews for his usual order.
"Happy Halloween!" Cheerful as he enters, he breathes in the lovely scent of baked goods. "Any plans for today? I bet you're going to one of those crazy parties in Shibuya, aren't you?" He jokes, paying for his order at the counter. After some brief chitchat, he readies to leave.
"As much as I'd love to stay and chat, I have many activities for my students that I need to prepare for, so I must be off!"
Gojo's not sure what, but something tells him to check the box. He comes to a stop just before the bakery's entrance, opening the cutely decorated lid to see—
"Huh!?" He points at its contents as he turns to look back at her. "Rayne, what is this?" But he can hardly keep up the serious look and with an amused smile, he chuckles. "You sneaky woman. I look delicious." They really are rather cute cookies. Is that weird to think, when they look like you?
"You know, I'm making Halloween onigiri with my students later. Maybe I'll save you a couple."
Closing the box, Gojo flashes one last grin and a wave, and leaves the shop. But surely, he'll be back soon enough.
