Hey Sanderfans! If you don’t know me, I was doing live reactions to The Way of Kings since 2024. Overall I took it slow and steady, but then took a months-long hiatus because of mental health. But I wanna finish this book by summer and move on to Words of Radiance. Plus I haven’t really been active in awhile, and I miss this place 🥺
Last time I finished a chapter was in September. It was chapter 41. But now that I finished Watchmen (on list for years, magnificent comic), I’ll be returning to reading Stormlight!

Cosmere fashion month - June. Mainly on Instagram; edgebanter usually puts out the prompts on Instagram in May. Oh yes and on tumblr you can sometimes find Crop Top Week at the end of May!
Femslash February - You'll never guess which month ;) It's a pan-fandom event that encourages f/f shipping, since it tends to be the least popular kind of shipping across fandoms. A friend and I run @gal-palanaeum which gathers cosmere femslash art and fic and sometimes does events, such as the Cosmere Femslash Fest! The Cosmere Femslash February Collection on ao3 is loosely curated by me.
Canonically Queer Stormlight Holiday Season - All year, we celebrate confirmations or publications of queer characters and ships, such as Reading Leshwi as Trans Day and Bi Shallan day. The list of days is organized by @priscellie and updated as we get new confirmations.
Secret Sazed - December. A grand yearly tradition in the spirit of Secret Santa gift exchanges. I hear that it's mostly organized on facebook.
Stormlight kink meme - before my day there was a @cosmerekinkmeme blog that ran prompts. It's been dead a while but it's a great read. A couple years ago someone else started a kink meme on Dreamwidth and it still gets occasional prompts, though I haven't checked for any new fills lately. But it's still open! Some people have even posted their fills on the Stormlight Kink Meme Collection on ao3.
Fic events
These tend to come and go. Some, like the Aro Soulmates Fest, were multi-fandom, and others, like the Cosmere Mini Bang, were Cosmere-specific. (Both those events were run by the incredible @ternaryflower53, who is currently unable to run events due to illness.) @featherwriter was a big event creator and fic writer in early cosmere fandom days, giving us tumblr tags like #cfsbf (Cosmere Fandom Still Best Fandom) and fic challenges like Cosmere Fandom Still Worst Fandom (a 2014 collection of angst and whump fics). Fic exchanges tend to be organized whenever there's someone willing to dedicate about 10-40 hours over the course of 1-6 months, depending on the event (and how much time you want to spend making a tumblr sideblog and get the website juuuuust right lol). If I get a whiff of an event, I will definitely share it!

Serious moment: if you care about blind and visually impaired people being able to participate fully in fandom, would you consider taking a minute and upvoting the comments on this Reddit thread supporting accessibility in official art, ebooks, and audio books, and downvote the fucking tone police?
It's good to know that the team is working on improving accessibility, but they're not there yet! The people being dismissive of the need for alt text, and the people saying she should've asked nicer, are fucking killing me today
(I say that jokingly but my heart rate topped 150bpm trying to respond and I have to stop for my own little disabled body)
And also, obviously, use alt text and consider writing image descriptions when you reblog! I currently have a backlog of over 200 beautiful pieces of art that I want my friends to enjoy.
