Storm’s a comin’

Hug Prompt
Georgia was a strong woman, unafraid of anything.
Except for ghosts. And pretty much anything supernatural. And most definitely magic, at least back when she was a kid… hell, magic still creeped her out at times.
So when she’s minding her business in the shop, and suddenly hears this wispy howling noise, she jumps in fright and squeaks a little, immediately turning to latch herself onto the person nearest to her– in this case Kana, though she honestly would have gone to him anyway, regardless of the distance between them.
The memories of the strange happenings of the camping trip come back to her, and that only fuels her fear and further convinces her that the noise she heard was some awful, dastardly, evil spirit that had decided to haunt her. In actuality, it was just the storm raging outside, and the harsh winds blowing against the rafters on the roof. But of course she doesn’t know that, doesn’t even consider it.
All she can think about is the ghost, and the comfort she so desperately craved from the person she cared about most. Quietly, she huddles closer to his chest and grips her fingers into the fabric of his shirt. Georgia would never admit she was actually scared aloud, but she figures he knows anyway.
There were very things that frightened Kana, and the storm’s loud and eerie howls wasn’t one of them.
The day was still on-going and despite the start of a storm, there was no time to head home yet. All the pets still needed to be taken care of, properly fed and kept warm. The animals in the shop were more rowdy despite being smaller in size, mostly because they were far more active than the farm animals. He had just finished caring for the puppies and headed back to the counter When Georgia suddenly grabbed on to him, her fright all to clear.
He started running his hand back and forth over her back in an attempt to sooth her as the storm outside continues to rage. It wasn’t anything new to them, supposedly. Heck, they even ran in the middle of a storm together before. This wasn’t a usual behavior for the normally spunky rancher so he grew worried. “Hey, it’s okay babe. I’m here. I got ya’.”
I wish I could live in the clouds☁
GETTING DARKER
Me: Martha it's too late
Martha: * takes sip of sweet tea, porch swing is squeaking. As the storm destroys everything around them* I know mama, I know.
