I personally love the idea that lyonel and baelor are exes. They had a fling when they were teenagers, and lyonel being lyonel, became emotionally attached, only for his prince to tell him that he couldn't continue because well, hes heir to the throne, and was likely about to wed to Jena dondarrion. And lyonel has held that grudge ever since, which is why we haven't seen him wed by the time of the Ashford tourney, he sees how it limited baelor's freedom. So fuck that. But then his fucking ex comes in and woos HIS new hedge knight? It's like retwisting the knife of their breakup. I think thats also why he was so extra about baelor dying, he's been personally wronged by him. When truly, they could've just shared dunk the hunk.
