Happy [late] 7th Anniversary to Just Shapes & Beats!

I know I'm late to the party but I'll make it worth the while.

Now I'm sure some of y'all are wondering how did I get into jsab, well..... Its pretty self explanatory.

[It started in early March in 2023 when me was 13 years of age]

One day I was on my TV trying to find something to watch and I came across a series called Just Shapes & Beats The Pink Corruption season 1. I was really interested in the show thus I began to watch. It was really entertaining and really cool, I loved the animation, the characters, the visuals, etc and my 13 year old self was enjoying the series and wanting more every day.

[Not until I found out the whole drama stuff with Brittny or whoever her name was.]

But after that I still wanted to know more about this Just Shapes & Beats stuff. From there I searched on YouTube and MY GOD IT WAS ALOT. From gameplay videos, to comics/comic dubs, animations, it was a lot I tell you. from my knowledge of JS&B I ''tried'' to make a comic of my own, and my FIRST Just Shapes & Beats comic was called ''Just Shapes and Beats Friendship'' It was a comic about Blixer planning to steal the tree but later in the night Cube came to Blixer with an old photo of the both of them. I'll tell you guys about this another time but you get my drift. HECK I EVEN PLAYED IT!

After that I FINALLY came to Tumblr after so many courage of not wanting to..... But I did anyways :] Soon I got accustomed to Tumblr. Made friends, had art Collab's/trades, and so much more!

[Then I did the most fucked up thing and caused a war within the JS&B community (。﹏。*) Lets not talk about it please ok?]

BUT things changed after I started back in 2024. New JS&B AU's, new JS&B OC'S, etc. Overtime I started to get better at my drawings and made NEW friends who don't care about what I did because I changed for the best. Besides that Just Shapes & Beats got me to where I am today! Coming up with new ideas, concepts, and au's. I'm currently thinking of one that I'm WILLING to share with everybody.

Thank you Berzerk Studios for creating this wonderful game! If it weren't for you we wouldn't be here in the first place!!

Story explain of my AU,

So, what you have witnessed was act 1 of two acts. The first act is beginning_ where you ask Kinito and Jade. The transition of act 1 and 2 was supposed to be Kinito ordering Sam to kill Jade, but she escapes with the help of Sunny_C

Act two is where you ask Jade and Sunny_C. Jade realizes she is not real, but instead of thanking Sunny. She grows hatred towards her creator, since he was the reason why Kinito grew mad. Though, she learns that Sunny is as trapped as the three sea creatures. (Yes this AU is LORE BASED)

And in the end, the viewers of this blog get to choose which path will Jade go on. If Jade should choose Kinito's side or her creator's side.

There are two separate endings for sed choices.

If majority picked Sunny, a picture of a graveyard and Sunny will be shown. Where the 3 sea creatures are free from their misery, and Sunny_C is able to rest in peice.

While if majority picked Kinito, a video of edited game footage will be shown. This makes this ending the CANON ending.

And that was how this blog was supposed to play out. I'm sorry I didn't get to play all of this out, but making the first act with all of you is fun! Thank you

Non-Story of a Non-Game

I think this non-game needs someone to explain its non-story, I have nothing better to do right now, so I guess its ok for me to do this.

I believe, in chapter 6, if we read every message in the mailbox of the Creator, we can understand more of it.

The Creator started to develop a game, which was meant to be a RPG game, yet the Creator didn't had enough money to keep developing it. So when he get a programming job offer from another game studios offered them an overseas job to develop a the RpG-Gps game, so he had to move on.

This programming required the Global Gameplay codes, so he must've simply dragged GiGi out of the source code/home and added it into the RpG-Gps game.(Is this how coding works anyway?)

And a female named person Juile, the Creator's very close co-worker, probably they were developing GiGi and friend, has left the Mr. Game. Which makes them the User.

Tearing the game apart from one of its most essantial parts, caused problems to be 'born' and thus, Mr. Glitch, was born.

When Juile starts playing the game and messing with it, I am guessing that the computer/phone they were using had another games in it, so the (somehow) conscious files, the Mr. Game, started to travel along with Julia as she guide Mr. Game the way to get back to their own dimension; app.

I believe Julia had either the Creator's number in her device(or they've been traveling to other people's 'dimension's all along, or maybe Julia is a hacker), so Mr. Game accidentally travel to there, dragging Mr. Glitch along with him, since they're like two sides of a coin, or Mr. Glitch is practically cancer.

He need the Mr. Game to cease to exist.

For some unknown reason that's been interrupted by unlucky events, Mr. Glitch wants to Rickroll the whole world, he does it when he is inside the router of the Creator.

Anyways, we manage to lock Mr. Glitch by transferring the Mr. Game to the Creator's computer, along with GiGi, so they can stop Mr. Glitch together, they can lock him up by generating a prison, (I am guessing this part, though.) (Again, is this how coding works anyway? It sounds too good to be real..?)

And in the end, eventhrough the Mr. Game and GiGi are together, we still can't play the game, because Mr. Glitch stops us.

Wow. No wonder this video game and its story is so beloved by horror enthusiasts. It essentially just goes on to prove what I’ve always said. You never see what’s outside of your own consciousness. You never see the world - your environment - for what it really, truly is …

Odds are it isn’t anything at all. But that’s such a meaningless understanding for someone who doesn’t believe that life and what it can mean is of your own making and therefore the way you see it is because you see it YOUR way. No other way. No one else’s way.

But Silent Hill 2 - if what was explained in this video is true - that is a piece of art/entertainment that just shows you that life is an interpretation station. That it’s based on conception and perception. You may repress what you think, feel, believe and so you hate the way that it is because you hate yourself and just view everyone and everything as your enemy even if they’ve never meant any harm to you or to ever come to you.

Or you may engage with it as a friend, a guide or a saviour. You may see it the way a child would see it because a child has no such preconceptions of evil so even if the world is truly bleak, hard and painful… a child’s innocence naturally colours, eases and heals it. And I think out of the very few characters in this game… I would say Laura is the most interesting one because of how much life experience she has yet to experience.

Everybody else is so full of lore of trauma and hardship. And then there’s Laura. Basically a blank slate aside from the few significant interactions she’s had in life. And it’s interesting how the only person she resents is James all because of what Mary told her about him. Which also proves how easily and quickly an adult can condition a child’s mind. Especially one they look up to.

So as for my take away on this story… I’m certainly not going to blame Mary for conditioning Laura as she probably never even meant to - diseased mind and all - but it does teach you something pretty damn profound about a lesson I remind myself of as often as possible.

Hurt people hurt people.

All of the characters I would say teach you this lesson in many different ways but I would say it’s most important and poignant with Laura because she still has way too many years to live and being that conditioned so early in life will take its toll all throughout those many years and she will unfortunately get to the same point as everyone else does in this game. Irrevocably damaged.

But as I said… I can see why this video game and story is both so beloved and reviled in equal measure by so many different people. You can’t really be indifferent to a game or story like this. You’ll either love it or hate it.

There’s just too much going on in it to be neutral on it.

So in saying this and despite how much I understand it… I love it. But that’s not a surprise. I love anything that makes me think. Especially if it challenges me.

I’ll never play this game. I’m too much of a coward to.

But I have to say that it’s a great fucking horror story!

Why is it a great fucking horror story?

We’re still talking about it to this day.

And I often find that’s the key to something being just pop culture or a full-on cult classic. We’re still talking. We’re still thinking. We’re still engaging and adding.

No true piece of art/entertainment ever dies when there’s consciousness around to keep giving it life. Art/entertainment comes and goes all the time. But what sticks around is timeless because life keeps it going.

It’s something not just remembered but repurposed. For an entirely new generation of people to latch on to.

I think that’s so incredible that I stay here to share what I can about what I love and am most passionate about because it gives me just as much life and purpose back and I think there’s value in people gaining life so much more so than there is than in consuming lifelessness because I don’t think of “life” as a permanent thing. I never have. I think of it as a continuation of things. And what happens when you consume any media that can give out what you’ve put in - that’s what really happens.

It continues. You exchange your energy with its energy and it grows with you and within you - and vice versa. So all true art/entertainment is timeless because it belongs to everybody and nobody at the same time.
