The Jedi are bad because: * Old Republic plotline where this Jedi master's been buried in the snow without food or air for years and survived by meditating, and your "Light Side" option, as a Sith sent to dig him up and kill him, is to agree to his request that you rebury him along with his apprentice who came to rescue him. He wants you to do this because he thinks his apprentice turned out wrong - apprentice is too angry, needs some glacier torture to fix that. * Old Republic plotline where the Light Side option is to try to reunite a pair of middle-aged star-crossed lovers, one now a Jedi, the other an elite assassin. Jedi guy agrees to come meet with the woman who still loves him so that he can say "no," not because of all the assassinations, but because Attachment Is Wrong I Must Resist The Corruption Which You Represent. Later you kill him and she's too depressed to even go after you for revenge, she just sends a "fuck off" letter.

(Okay, it’s probably just that SWTOR is their most complicated game with the Companion Approval mechanic, so to make things easy they’ve given the dialog options generic dichotomous categories: “Loyal”/”Pragmatic” “Sincere”/”Sarcastic” “Merciful”/“Vengeful,” etc etc, and Quinn is just coded to approve of seeing his Siff pick the vengeful choices. System doesn’t include exceptions to allow him to recognize who Siff’s being vengeful at.)
