**NOTE** I'm not as tech savvy as I think I am so these two videos both have sound that overlaps. Just disregard it. Mostly wanted to show the progress/healing from Owen's strabismus surgery on Dec. 28, 2015. The left video was from June 2015. Owen's esotropia (inward crossing) and nystagmus (eye shaking) was very, very obvious. He was trying hard to focus on the flash of the camera. The right video was from this weekend. (Yes, he was sitting on the potty 😆) There is noticeable difference in both the esotropia and nystagmus. His eyes have healed very nicely and the stitches have almost dissolved. I hope this video can help those who are on the fence about this surgery. Em posts anteriores disse que iria tentar autorização para publicar fotos de casos em que a cirurgia trouxe bons resultados. No post de hoje "falarei" da Blake Snider, ela tem 18 anos, vive no Canadá e já fez 2 operações na tentativa de corrigir um desvio acentuado no olho esquerdo. Palavras da Blake: "Eu nasci com estrabismo grave no meu olho esquerdo. Durante toda a minha infância me disseram que a cirurgia não era uma boa opção e que não iria funcionar. 10 anos se passaram e eu decidi tentar um novo médico. Eles foram capazes de me dizer que eu era uma boa candidata para a cirurgia, e após 2 anos de testes, 10 nomeações e dois médicos, eu finalmente fui para a cirurgia em 24 de janeiro de 2014.  Eu estava nervosa, visto que foi a minha segunda cirurgia nos meus 18 anos de vida. A dor era bastante elevada nos primeiros dias de pós-operatório, no entanto, o sangue e vermelhidão no olho foram se aclarando consideravelmente mais cedo do que era esperado. Já se passaram quase nove meses desde a minha cirurgia e meu olho ficou na mesma posição em que foi corrigido, e eu estou muito feliz com isso."
