Put too much effort into this and I don't even like them.
Sick and TIRED of people pretending Peter isnt a sub. THAT MAN WHIMPERS AND BEGS FOR SURE. (I know this cuz I am happily married with him for 6 years)
Real as fuck
I don't have a whole lot of substantial hcs beyond what I'm about to write, but. Just been cooking up some thoughts for a while now, and am happy to talk about them :) ! There's nothing horribly explicit below, but obviously this is About Suggestive Topics so heads up if you're not into that kinda thing !! There are mentions of other characters in this, but I wrote it in an 'x reader' sorta way for funsies lmao

i have literally no idea how they'd work in a canon / canon adjecent way but i love them as a crackship :)) both of them are very angry people, which could be explored more seriously. but adam is definitely ragebaiting peter and i find it hilarious (thank you quinnge for being the sole creator i see for them lmfao)
soooooo (lesbian strahmheight)
the crackship I personally enjoy but I yurified it cuz I can and want
LET'S GET MISCHIEVOUS (AND POLYAMOROUS!)
i love how as the movies progress, everytime Strahm gets closer to death— weather it’s his own or someone he cares about— there’s a distinct color change in the lighting.
-> when he’s interrogating Jill the lights are very crisp and white with hues of lighter blues and greys.
• BLUE and GREY in theory represent calmness, neutrality, and stability— something Strahm is lacking entirely…but Jill— she keeps her poker face during the entirety of the interrogation.
-> again we see the use of darker blues and black lighting when Strahm is cracking ‘Jigsaw’s’ (M. Hoffman’s) patterns— going so far as to nearly catch him— before being trapped in his own demise…his curiosity quite literally killed the cat.
• DARK BLUE and BLACK in theory portray power, authority, sophistication, mystery, and sometimes even sadness or mourning— (something all of us Strahm fans felt after said scene).
• the authority factor also brings out ideas of the power dynamic between Mark and Peter— Mark having the upper hand in terms of their situation. (if you rewatch the scene, you’ll notice how when the camera pans to Mark, it’s a more vividly black, grainy light, whereas Strahm’s scenes remain more blue and haphazardly blurry, representing his frantic anxiety after finding out who exactly Hoffman is).
-> a greenish-yellow hue of light is introduced whenever Strahm is given a choice: for example, when ‘Jigsaw’ offers him the choice of either finding out who’s really behind the crimes, whilst knowingly risking his life, or instead, turning around and walking the other direction.
• YELLOW-GREEN in theory represents cheer, forward movement, optimism/rejuvenation, growth, vitality, and overall freshness.
• the idea of ‘forward movement’ so clearly gives away what Strahm’s demise is. instead of saving himself (and possibly risking other people’s lives), he is greedy and wants answers, thus killing himself in the process…he moves forward only to be stopped halfway through.
-> finally, i went back and noticed the odd use of the color yellow during Lindsey Perez’s shattered glass scene. unlike the other’s, this choice of lighting is a bright, happy color- despite the jarring circumstances.
• YELLOW in theory can represent two things— joy, happiness, hope, and energy…or caution, warning, and sometimes even sickness (think the color of vomit).
• ORANGE in theory portrays warmth, energy (again), optimism, creativity, transformation, and enlightenment. However, i’ve seen a lot of people claim that it also has negative connotations, like arrogance— which could represent the impatience (and like Strahm, curiosity), that Perez shows, thus nearly killing her.
• BROWN in theory represents warmth and reliability. i don’t think much more is needed— but clearly we see an emotional bond between both Perez and Strahm, and to some onlookers, possibly a romantic one. The second Peter realizes she’s hurt, he’s on his knees for Lindsey- hands cradling her head and keeping her awake as long as he can [“Shh…Stay with me- Common- You’re alright…”]…(yeah i ship them so what).
so basically there are a few different flavors of saw pairings
