Watched "Straight Talk" today, a fun lil Dolly Parton movie (James Woods is also there)

It was a simple but fun comedy from 1992 where Dolly mistakenly becomes a tv radio agony aunt by accident and at the beginning of the credits she's called by a trans woman who explains very to the point that they are already a female inside and knows they'll be happier as a woman so does she have any advice.

Dollys character Shirley doesn't bat an eye. She says "Well Gary if you're sure that's what you really want all I can say is, don't try and perm you're own hair and don't wear high heels on a soggy lawn!"

A movie from 1992 had that. It's not played as a joke, it's so matter of fact and yes it's just a small bit before the end of the film but it was 1990 goddamn 2.

How are people today kicking off about this Baymax series?? How are people complaining about a gay couple in Lightyear?? I won't even mention Roe V Wade but seriously how are we not just not moving but actively going backwards?!?
