Mysterious reflection

I got out early enough on the lake Thursday morning to catch the sunrise and some fish and ... whatever that is where the water meets the sky in the northeast.

It’s not a solid object; It’s a reflection of some kind off the rising sun, which was 30 degrees or so further east.

I’ve been fishing Lake Huron for 25 years and had never seen anything like it.
