#finally (?) listening to Love Never D1es#(trying to keep my personal thoughts away from the tag cuz u never know!)#but wow#that was.... wow#strange......#what do u mean the Phantom and Christine met secretly and banged in the dark and she had his child#it really reads like the Phantom wrote his own dream scenario fanfic haha#i remember watching the Lindsay Ellis video a few years ago about her reviewing it#absolutely bonkers musical that nobody asked for really#i thought the melodies and chords were pretty catchy for the most part#the Coney Island Waltz is probably my favorite instrumental piece from any musical ive heard... possibly#but whewwww#raoul is a loser gambler drunk who never hugs his son???? ok#yeah that song where the Phantom is showing the kid around is like......... weird.....#i feel like the lyrics could've been written to be less creepy and weird idk!#i liked the setting of the play but the plot is leaves much to be desired#mr andrew lloyd webber should have made just a Coney Island mystery play and that wouldve been good#i remember way back in 2009 when this play was teased and i was SO excited too 😭#and then a couple years later the reviews came out and i was like welp
